Imagine what Tyson Fury would do to Joshua

Fury is a true great heavyweight. it would be as easy as that fight with Whyte right there.

 

There's no way in 12 rounds Fury wouldn't catch AJ and when he does - game over.

 

Fury would knock him out but Joshua’s handspeed would make it far more interesting than Whyte there. Whyte never had the power to hurt Fury IMO especially because his left hooks are so telegraphed. Joshua is actually explosive and IMO clearly has the power to hurt Fury.

As limited as AJ’s head movement is, at least he does actually move it and feint a little.

There is no chance in hell Whyte could ever beat Fury. Joshua at least has a chance of landing something big, especially if Fury is off his game.

 

Size also. Joshua would be able to actually land a jab to the head unlike Whyte who only landed to the body. But yeah I make a fury the favourite but a much better effort than that dross tonight.

 

Of course he did. Cunningham had him on his arse. Whyte wasn't fast enough to land it

 

Fury would kill Joshua, who is second rate. He's been so ridiculously overrated. Fury can't claim to be the best of this era unless he boxes Usyk, at least.

 

Thats what I was trying to say tbf. His power punch is simply too telegraphed. Someone like Ruiz with his explosive, rapid short hooks and combination punches for instance actually has a chance of putting Fury down. Whyte, no chance.

 

If tonight cleared up one thing it's this myth that Whyte is massively improved since AJ beat him. He's a useless plodder and AJ is a miles better fighter. Some people were even saying this version of Whyte would beat AJ.

If Fury fights either AJ or Usyk he will have his hands full. They are different class.

Oddly I think if Fury tries to use his dirty boxing style he would suffer as AJ is one of the best mid range fighters when he just swings rapidly. Unfortunately for AJ Ruiz has better handspeed and beat him at his own game. At range Fury would beat AJ without Joshua landing a glove.

 

Whyte was overrated but still a proven solid top 10 heavyweight, tonight showed how great Tyson Fury is.

Usyk is the only guy who gives Fury a fight . Joshua doesn't have a prayer against Fury. Look at the difference between Fury- Klitschko and Joshua-Klitschko, and Fury-Whyte and Joshua-Whyte.

Joshua is a bit better than Whyte, but the outcome is the same, it'd be an easy fight for Fury,

 

Joshua would be gassed out and stiff as a board by the 3rd round.

I don't think AJ has the confidence anymore to do what he would need to do to have success against Fury. I think Fury KO's AJ, if it had been AJ from the Klitschko fight then it would be interesting but he's damaged goods now.

 

I don't think the Fury of the Klitschko fight exists anymore. Fury will rightfully be considered favourite but saying AJ doesn't have a prayer is well over the top. AJ/Whyte was a tear up, you can't really compare it to tonight. He's not a bit better he's a lot better. He's just done 12 hard rounds with a master boxer, Dillian Whyte couldn't do that on Fight Night. I'd make him a very live underdog against Fury and favourite against anyone not named Fury/Usyk.

I do however agree with @Boxing Gloves above. The fight against Usyk will tell us how much AJ has got left in the tank mentally.
