Nope. Maidana beat Broner because of his own style. Not just the power. He followed a gameplan every round. Go low, punch to the body then follow up with an awkward overhand right that could not miss and that brutal left hook. Maidana's overhand right was a huge problem, none of those guys throw it like him.

 

Maidana beat the **** out of Broner enough already, i love this result. War Chino.

 

I honestly hope he drops and fights matthysse. that way he can really get iced, maidana has a clubbing shot. Matthysse has more of a straight on the button shot.

It would be a great win for matthysse to get back into the picture.

the hook that put broner down in rnd 2 is basically the same hook that put peterson down the first time, the one that bounced off the top of his head.

I think matthysse is not only more durable than maidana but maybe a little harder of a hitter.
