Wrestler. That's all Maynard is, a wrestler. Ben Henderson is a complete fighter equipped with wrestling, BJJ, stand-up, and speed. Bigger than Edgar and more versatile.

 

Edgars footwork and in and out boxing will give ben fits. Ill take edgars easy. If ben couldnt get pettis down and keep him there good luck getting edgar down.

I think Edgar's edge in speed and technique will overcome any lack of size issues.

Edgar throws shorter punches, has better hand speed, and would win most punching exchanges.

Edgar has, in my opinion, superior wrestling.

Both guys are brown belts in bjj, if I'm not mistaken; but Edgar seems to have a tighter game.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Henderson win, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'd expect Henderson to give a good account of himself, and lose a decision 3-2 or 4-1 in rounds. I think Henderson's strength advantage would get him the first round or two, but Edgar comes on to take the rest. If this were a 3 round bout, it could be very interesting.

 

Am I missing something here? He beats Jim Miller directly after getting whooped by Anthony Pettis and people are not only calling him to beat, but to destroy Frankie Edgar? Have I gone insane or is everyone in this thread simultaneously tripping on LSD?
