Bendo doesn't really have the power to trouble Frankie, Frankie will land 3-1 on him probably. I'd say he has probably the 5th best chance o beating Edgar after Guillard, Maynard, Gilbert and Dunham. Guillard is the toughest fight out there for Edgar style wise.
I think Guillard is the most dangerous, he's strong, explosive and athletic and vry hard for a guy Frankie's size to keep on his back and his boxing is almost as good as Frankie's techically and timing wise with the difference being he has insane power and finishing instinct.
Edgar would outpoint him pretty easily. I just don't see where Henderson has an advantage. He won't be able to take Edgar down, will be at a distinct disadvantage standing, won't be able to sub him. The only way he wins is if he just takes him down over and over again. That probably won't happen, and even if it did, Frankie would be back on his feet in a hurry.
Some of the absolute best wrestlers and top game BJJ players in the division like Sherk, Penn, and Maynard couldn't do anything to Edgar when his back was to the mat, what makes you think Ben would bully Frankie on the ground when he couldn't even do that to Anthony Pettis? In fact if you look at the Pettis fight, there were long stretches of time where Showtime was controlling Henderson on the mat. I don't think Henderson has the skills to beat Edgar standing or on the ground, save for a flash guillotine or something to that effect.
There's been talk of BenHendo vs. Guida for the Fox debut and if that fight happens, Guida hasn't got a chance, and I feel sorry for him, yet respect him deeply for taking that fight. Guida's at the top of the rankings in a very tough time. If they match him against anybody else rather than give him his title shot, he won't get past them, definitely not Henderson. I hope he gets the shot, he did beat Pettis after all.
Still, I'm a big fan of Guida and he's been in some really great matches, so I hope he gets this shot. It's not like he's gonna climb the ladder again.
OK, not all perfectly correct, but still damn close to right on the money, and this was even before Edgar-Maynard III.
