Not directly- they allow for the increase in skills by allowing the fighter to exercise longer and more frequently, and reducing down time to injuries and fatigue. That lets them spend more time on skills work, conditioning/lifting, and sparring. That's where the increase in skills happen. PED's are not magic, but a key that allows you the "privilege" to work your ass off even more to get to a level that's harder or impossible for a non-user to reach.
all very interesting, him answering the phone and the whole Fields thing is weird I think he is on them but I cant prove it cause he has never tested positive from my knowledge but neither has Barry Bonds
Google Ty "Ropeman" Felder. He was Lee Haney's right hand man. You will find some interesting things on Haney, Holyfield, and Felder. Specifically what Felder used to sell......
How would you know if he was clean or not? I was around guys using roids and they didnt stick needles in their asses in the locker room.
I agree he looked more ripped at heavy than he did at cruiser. he must of put on 14 pound of pure muslce in no time. not achievable naturally. He also had a six times Mr Olympia as his nutritional advisor I can say without hesitating that Mr Haney knew a bit about juice
Agreed. I've heard people say **** like "why do people suspect that these guys may be on PEDs? Why can't it be hard work?" PEDs won't do anything if you're sitting on your ass watching TV and eating hamburgers. The PEDs alone didn't make Barry Bonds go from a great player to putting together one of the greatest 4 year runs in baseball history, aged 36-40. He took PEDs and trained and practiced for hours and hours. They allow you to train harder and increase your skills. Work harder in training, improve muscle memory, etc. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it were all over pro sports. They're performance ENHANCERS, not something you take and magically you improve 40 levels. I watched James Toney-Danny Batchedler, where both guys tested positive for steroids, and it was quite possibly the worst fight I have ever witnessed in 20 years of being a hardcore fan.
When did commissions start testing for steroids? I think if something wasn't proven, then we're wasting our time discussing it. It's too late to do anything about it. Guys fill out as they get older, and if they're pumping heavy iron, they can pack on a lot. It's not a given that any guy who bulks up is on steroids. I don't like Holyfield, but I don't think it's fair to accuse him of this.
I think Holyfield gets more accusations than most other heavyweights, probably unfairly, because : 1. Many people doubted he could be a full-blown heavyweight, never mind a great one, so they explained away their predictions of failure by claiming 'he must have cheated' and, 2. He has a 'good physique'. My personal opinion is that many elite fighters, esp. heavyweights, have used anabolic drugs over the last 40 - 50 years at least. I won't single out any of them as 'guilty' or 'innocent'. Just generally, I think there have probably been quite a few. Big names too.
I share the same personal opinion that you do on the latter part of your post. I can see why curious fans would want to know, but with the ongoing witch hunt for PED's, it's impossible for it just to stay to that and not diminish the name. Another factor that hurts Holyfield more than other HW's is that there was about as much evidence as you can get on a fighter without them actually testing positive or catching them on video using, but the denial was still there so the subject just doesn't die. Whereas with Tommy Morrison, he eventually just came out and admitted it. Other guys like RJJ, Toney, and Mosley got caught and paid their dues for it. With Holyfield, I think there's an element of "if other elite guys were getting caught, how's Holyfield getting a free pass?" To use a baseball analogy, it's part of why people make such a big deal out of Bonds, Sosa, and McGwire and don't nearly as much with Jason Giambi (granted, Giambi also wasn't breaking baseball's most hallowed records)
Oh my god, this can only mean... This content is protected That someone called Evan Fields stole Holyfields number. I agree, this man 'Evan Fields' thinks stealing Holyfield's details will ruin Evanders noble reputation but hes wrong. All real boxing fans know that Holyfield is a non-steroid user. Only the gay fake boxing fans accuse Holyfield of steroids, due to his 'good physique'.
I think it's fairly obvious that Holyfield used PEDs, but that's a part of the "game" as long as drug tests are not taken seriously.
