The guys above him are on their way to retirement, he's still relatively young, very good skills for his size, just needs to tighten up his defense a bit with some better head movement. I think he'll be the dominant guy for the next 5-6 years or so and I pick him to beat Joshua if they fight next.

He could be more dominant then what weve had since Klitchko.

He has age on his side, so does Parker.

AJ is pretty young as well but he won't keep the hunger for too much longer

Before Hrgovic even considers taking over he owes Zhang a long over due rematch. We all know why the rematch has not happened as that smoke is not wanted by Hrgovic, coupled with the fact that Zhang has looked considerably better since there fight .

Well he did beat him on my card anyway, but that was not his best night. I think he would dominate him in a rematch, which I would love to see.

I genuinely think Hrgovic is waiting for Fury/Wilder/Zhang/Joshua to just **** off and retire before he properly starts his career.

I think he'll keep taking joke fights until he gets a title fight.

Not sure I had Hrgovic winning but I agree that's its not fair to judge a fighter at his worst. The difference here is that was Hrgovic stepping up a level. That's when you judge a fighter for me. He stepped up to Zhang and looked lost tbh.

The win was controversial but there's been no talk of a rematch from Hrgovic. He obviously doesn't want it. That's not a sign of a future dominant champ in my book.

Let's see him fight someone else that's good first. Zhang was the first legit guy he fought NAD we all thought Zhang was a 40ish year old who never beat anyone going into that anyway.

That could well be it but I think we all know that Hearn will do everything and anything he can to get Joshua the IBF title shot against Hrgovic. Hearn was absolutely spouting the complete opposite when Ruiz beat Joshua and even said Ruiz as Champion was entitled to a voluntary defence, how different Hearn is when it’s not his fighter who could be getting stripped but his fighter getting a back door to a title shot .

Yes it's definitely been a breakthrough year for Hrgovic after seeing off the momentous challenges of McKean and De Mori. One of those wins on its own would be considered a great year but together is beyond astounding.

    I'm not being sarcastic.

    Honest.
