Impact Fighting Championships ** Spoilers**

Isn't the first card supposed to be happening, like right now? It's almost 9pm local time in Brisbane.

 

Without a governing body that concept is flawed. If there are 2 big orgs then fighters are forced to more or less follow the rules or risk being alienated from the game.

 

There is no governing body in MMA though.

 

That is why I am hoping that due to being better run business that only 2 survive and stay strong. I don't want MMA to become too fragmented like boxing. Otherwise each org is no different to being a promoter in boxing.

 

Thats a bit rose tinted imo. All organisations run for a profit. Profit is all that matters. Its only a matter of time before others get in on the game.

 

True, such is life. I just hope it holds out as long as possible.. Like you say, the WBC and WBA were eventually joined by the WBO, IBF, IBO and god knows who else.

I appreciate you posting the results, though. I don't get offended by spoilers in a forum. If you are worried about seeing the results of a fight, why the **** are you in a forum where they talk about them? Just my opinion.

True, but not everyone has an opportunity see everything live, especially in situations like this where events aren't aired outside their home country and it's difficult to find streams.

People might want to discuss other fights in the meantime without knowing such results. Care should be taken by both those browsing and those posting spoilers. Tags like the thread starter used are very helpful. Shading the font was a nice touch - some forums have a "spoiler button" as part of the forum code, that actually creates a black censor strip over the text, that you have to highlight to see. If VBulletin offers that, it might be something for the admins here to consider adding to improve the board.
