then lets stop hyping anybody for unifying titles, for being multi weight champions, for being undisputed or anything like that then for now on. The lineal title means you beat the man who beat the man. I gave out the exact timeline of the lineage, but you say it's worthless.

So screw all the belts then. Even the one that are legit, screw them

The only real linear champ in Danny Garcia because there is no other guy at 140 that you can call the 'man'.

Floyd is no 'man' at 147 without beating Bradley or Manny. Bradley is #1 and Manny is his mandatory.
Beating the Ghost for the vacant crown is a prime reason why the title means **** in an age of multiple title holders who never fight each other.

That's great. I never made any argument as to the importance of a lineal title. The OP did. I simply corrected his post that claimed Pacquiao as the only 4 divisional lineal champ in the sports history.

Its says Floyd is the linear champ on a piece of paper. Fine , you can ride with that if you want.

    This

Not every lineal titlist is the man to beat in their perspective division ..Look at Zsolt Eredi who ever considered him the best light heavy weight on the planet :think

Floyd should be fighting Ring #1 Bradley or his mando Pacman. Not nothing man Maidana. Until he does , he's not the 'man'

Hahahaha, yes. This guy is a fool.

    Yes he did.

    SFW over Genaro
    LW over Castillo
    WW over Baldomir
    JMW over Alvarez

Mayweather won the lineal WW title in 2006.

Floyd beat Baldomir for the lineal WW title in 2006.

What is happening in boxing in 2014 is not relevant to what happened back in 2006 when it comes to who was champion and who beat who.

No. Of the 5 divisions he has competed in, that is the only one he has not held the lineal title in.

Yes. He defeated lineal title holder in Alvarez.

Once again, 2014 doesn't affect 2013. When Alvarez and Trout fought, they were #1 and #2. Lara clearly wasn't, who at that point in time had yet to win his '13 fights against Angulo and Trout. He was coming off the so-so draw to Vanes. Alvarez and Trout deservedly filled the JMW vacant lineal title when they fought in April 2013. Mayweather beat Alvarez in September 2013.

No, it doesn't just say that on a piece of paper.

It is unanimously and factually agreed upon.

    SFW over Genaro
    LW over Castillo
    WW over Baldomir
    JMW over Alvarez

Lineal championships are a nice feat, but a little bit overrated in the sense that many fighters in the past would've been able to achieve multiple lineal titles if Junior/Super weight divisions were in existence back than.

But to reiterate what a few posters have already confirmed, pacman and Mayweather are the only boxers to have won 4 lineal titles- Pacman did it across 8 divisions and Mayweather did it in 5 divisions (didn't get the 140 lineal title, which he definitely could have, if he fought Hatton at 140.)

What else am I supposed to ride with? Mayweather beat Baldomir for the lineal title at WW. That's pretty black and white.

The fact that you list "#1 Bradley or his mando Pacman" as ways for Floyd to fill a lineage shows you don't understand what that is and discredits all previous opinions regarding the lineal title, as you are listing multiple fighters, not just one, who you THINK would be deserved of fighting for the vacant lineal title. In doing so, you have actually taken the side of the argument that supports Floyd winning the title over Guerrero... as it's just about your opinion after all, huh?

Ring has him as champion at 147 so he is the man ,who knows he may fight Bradley later this year.

I think undisputed championships hold more weights than lineal titles .
