    in '95 a teak tough Irishman, Wayne McCullough went there pre "global village" Internet era, when it really was another world over there....and took the title off yakushiji! Wanna see tough? NowMcCullough was fit and tough as nails. Head like a brick. He'd have beaten both McDonnells on the same night! Dare I suggest he'd "plaster" em???!!! :)

    Mccullough’s win over yakushiji is highly underrated these days. The champ was on a roll at the time having beaten his more hyped countryman tatsuyoshi, and a lot of people thought McCullough was making a mistake by going out there. He obviously proved them wrong, and I think his successful run at 118 gets overlooked now in comparison to his demonstrations of indestructibility in higher profile fights at 122 and 126.

    That said, Inoue has looked a class above and if McDonnell pulls this off it’s a different level of win.
