after all the split decision bull **** victories or near robberys vs sbik etc. finaly a big win over a name boxer.

I thought andy would walkthrough chavez, didnt expect it the other way. the ferocity at the end. he ready for martinez, he might not win, but make a good fight.

update: its one boxrec. martinez vs chavez 2012-15-9

yep, I was impressed with JCC jr too, his combination punching, relentless style, iron chin, he looked better than I expected
to be fair I was a bit disappointed in Andy Lee's boxing today, thought he was a bit too one-dimensional, his power didn't faze JJC jr too

Andy Lee is crap. I will admit Chavez Jr isn't rubbish but i think he gets beaten by any decent fighter. Stick him in there with Pavlik next i hope

Chavez Jr is either exalted as the next great middle weight or called trash.

Fans are so extreme in their arguments it's almost embarrassing to read.

I think Chavez is better than expected but I also think he is huge for that weight class and it's a bit of an unfair advantage he brings into the ring. He was so much more powerful and strong than Lee, there was nothing Lee could do. He hit him with some big shots and Chavez shrugged them off like they were nothing.

I agree with Lee and think this is a tough fight for Martinez because of the size difference but Martinez is leagues above him in skill and boxing ability.

What I would like to see Chavez Jr do, is move his head more like his father did. People think Chavez Sr was some brawler but he was much, much more. He had great defense and it all started with head movement. He would bob and weave his way inside and I think that's something Jr is trying to do.

I believe they were even talking about it after the fight in the ring.

I still pick Martinez over Jr but it's a tough fight.

I never expected much from Andy Lee but I have to admit,Jnr was still impressive.I admit I've been sceptical, but there's credit due.I'm warming to him.
Like the way he mixed up his combos, going up and downstairs.

Sergio Martinez is going to starch this guy. Chavez Jr pisses me off for the following reasons:

    1. His dad is paid and knows every cheap thing you can do in the ring including:

    a. Make money off your dad's name
    b. Use money to leverage conditions in your favor including:
    1. Fighting in a ring the size of a phonebooth
    c. Fight dirty in the sense to push back your oppenent and smother his punches (remember point#1.)
    d. Do steriods so point#c and point#1 are a no brainer
    e. Rehydrate to 190+lbs but campaign at middle (seriously get back weigh-ins during fight night)

I am sorry, champions are not born this way. When he gets layed out, I will be extremely happy because I know garbage like that does not last long. He's in it for the fast cash. And lets not forget the missing urine sample form last fight, and this fight's urine sample not being given before the fight started.

And one final note, Erik 'El Terrible' Morales is the greatest Mexican fighter to ever have ****ing lived. At least he didnt get a gift decision against Pacman.

I was also fairly (begrudgingly) impressed.

Chavez Jr is becoming a very decent Light Heavyweight.

If Sergio can overcome the size disparity...it wont be pretty for Jr.

One thing I know with HGH/steriods/etc.., it does not do **** for the chin. Sergio has legit one punch KO power. Send Chavez Jr back to daddy's paradise in that dirt ****hole of a place that is Mexico.
