this is the nature of the heavyweight division in pro boxing unfortunatly.

Its why they have a super heavy division in amateur where its all about points - like how wlad won last night.

In mma, there is a limit of 265lbs i think, but its not a relevent as the taller you are, the less manouverable you are on the ground so it evens out quite nicely...

...which, if the heavyweights are the health of the sport, its bad news for boxing as the blueprint is there for a tall long guy just to stand tall and jab his way to championships.

Klit won because he was very light on his feet very quick to get away from any incoming fire, just saying Haye would get to him without the size discrepancy

Amazed anyone could be impressed even if they're from the UK and a fan. I would rather watch James Toney vs Gabe Brown in a hot dog eating competition than ever see Haye on my tv again.

This is typical post fight gibberish from predictably disappointed British fight fans. Perhaps if they did not hype their fighters to Mt. Olympus status pre-fight, they'd feel a wee bit less disgruntled after the bout.

Now I await the excuses after Zab dusts Khan. If Khan were his green and blue striped boxers instead of his red ones, he'd have kicked Judah's ass!

    Nah.

You see, when your opponent spends the entire fight running away from you and then jumps in two or three times a round, the correct thing to do is run away from him.

You can't give Haye a pass for spending 98% or more of the fight actively trying not to engage and then criticize Wlad for using footwork to evade him. It's called dominance. Wlad was winning the fight and landing while Haye was running. Why stand there when Haye finally decides to fight? That's called allowing your opponent to dictate the fight. Wlad is too good for that.

Furthermore if Haye was Wlad's size he wouldn't be anywhere near as quick as he is and he would have adopted a completely different style.

Yeah, who does he think he is, using his size. If Wlad didn't train, was 5'5 and didn't throw a punch, he would've never won: this is something the Klitschko fans keep avoiding. :deal

Would Haye closer in size to Wlad he will be proportionally slower.
All these "if X was bigger, stronger and quicker, had better stamina and more courage - he would be perfect champion" are stupid. The same could be said about any boxer.
The fact is that we have the Haye as he is. And he showed that he had very little chance to win. Even pancher chance was very slim, since Wlad was careful + we saw that several reasonable shots at the Wlad lead to no change in the fight.
