Uses his right hook very well, slips and moves around after he throws, moves around a bit too much but otherwise quite impressive. Of course, Nate Campbell is helping him look impressive, lets see a Maidana rematch!
I'm an Ortiz fan, but I think he is going to get exposed when he steps up and fights someone that can effectively pressure him (Bradley, Maidana rematch, Alexander, maybe even Khan). He has the physical aptitude but I'm not sure he possesses the mental attitude to really go all in. While he's young and in his prime, that will be more than enough to get him past most opponents. When he has to put it all on the line, though, I'm not sure he'll go all in and risk everything. That may be the smart thing to do, but it's not a characteristic of "the greats".
Not really. He could be throwing down a lot harder than he is, he isn't throwing as many combos as he could, he's playing this conservatively. He needs a KO victory, **** this "gaining back confidence" talk... I wanted a good fight.
Yeah, he's nowhere near ready to take on the Devons and Bradleys but this is his first fight back after Maidana, give him a break.
No. Ortiz is another made for t.v. fighter. We've already seen his lack of heart in his very first legit fight, so it's hard to be fooled again if for some odd reason you were in the first place.
why? he outboxed him easily and was way up on the cards, why take this risk if your winning, its not like he boxed boring wladstyle are something
Ability is not the issue. The guy has great tools at his disposal. It's his willingness to use these tools that is the big question mark.
F! bouncing I dont like his trainer He needs a top 4 trainer. Stop that bouncing. Just wasting energy. Sit jab, turn, counter, turn. He is fast and accurate. Doesn't need to waste so much with all that movement. Also, he is fighting because no one has offered him a better job.
