Still, the guy stopped an ex champ with a 40-3-1 record, quite impressive...thoughts

He's going through the ranks in a fast pace, that's for sure.

Impressive, most certainly. His next fight will probably be a bit easier than the Byrd fight, regardless of who wins Brock Chambers.

Brock has power, Chambers fast hands, I THINK HE BEATS BOTH then he should fight Ibragimov or Peter than if he is winning Chagaev and if he gets past him Vlad

I haven't seen the fight yet but i heard he won comfortably, that's impressive for sure. Brock or Chambers will be an excellent next fight but i think he needs at least a few more fights before facing Wlad... i think that he'd lose to Wlad if he fights him next year, though it could make for a huge rematch or even trilogy if he retains the upper arc.

I agree, I have seen many fighters ruined by being rushed, there are other less dangerous fights for the titles that this kid could take, Sultan, Peter/Oleg...or Ruslin (not too easy)...but I would like to see how Alex does vs a McCline or a Tony Thompson, even a Austin to see how he does vs the bigger guys

Wlad vs. Iggy on February 23, count on it...

The endless story aka WBC - starring: Maskaev, Peter and Vitali K.

And the ass-kissing association aka WBA, giving Chagaev a homecoming to Uzbekistan in May 08 for his voluntary D pushing his mandatory backwards.

So there isn't really any other champ available...
