It seems to be all over the place as of late.

Every time I hit the pads I feel as if I'm on my toenails! I just can't seem to be even/steady/balanced, if that makes sense?

    Any hints or tips?

Try shadowboxing more with your eyes closed. I learned this trick from Scrap irc. Helps with your coordination and balance

Scrap there's way too much movement on the mitts mayweather preforms minimal movement along with 6-9 combos. I seen over the years trainers having their boxers do pivots, side stepping, bobbing and weaving and kicking out the heals whilst punching yet in the ring all is forgotten save the punching. Your born with with movement and tis a waste of time to teach it.

Correct if I'm wrong but I see you teaching your fighter to kick his heals out whilst hooking including what looks like pivoting. Most trainers to do today don't teach kicking the heels out for the simple fact there's not enough time and that the poor boy either has power or he doesn't. So the power comes from behind the elbow. What you appear to be doing is weight transferring drills. Problem with that is that this goes against the preservation of stamina and economy of motion theory.

if you study Bryant Jennings he doesn't turn his hip over whilst throwing the right hand. He weight is evenly distributed on both feet when throwing the left hook making it shorter and quicker enabling him to pull off combos of 6-9. Very hard to keep a charging opponent off of you when kicking your heels out. What I'm talking about is shoe shining to the upper body just to the lower body. This the science behind mayweather and Weldon.

Guys, I seem to be trying to (this is the best I can describe it) 'claw'/pinch the ground with my toes when I'm on the balls of my feet. It's as if I can;t stay on the balls of my feet without doing this. It's this or be flat-footed.

Any ideas on what it is or why I'm doing this?
