****, never mind - I got some bad intel, apparently. The main event is already underway! The programming guide had the card airing live starting fifteen minutes from now (2230 local time), as of when I checked yesterday. Gr...

    Round 4

Szellö is countering the wild hooks of Grachev, smoothly placing a long left lowering-drawbridge jab on the bridge of the squatter & shorter Russian's nose. Grachev taking a few swipes at the body, yet Szellö able to control distance with economical footwork, not overly fast but taking just the right steps to keep Grachev lunging and squarely at the end of the long jab. Szellö is cut by the left eye.

    10-9 Szellö

    ??-??

    Round 5

Szellö is still turning Grachev like a pig on a roasting spit, basting his face with long jabs ranging from lumpy to somewhat crisp, varying the speed and snap on them depending on his distance & relative position while circling (throwing it harder, for instance, when flanking Grachev and not in range for his short hooks and body shots). Grachev scraping the ribs of Szellö with the diving left hook and then clambering up top with some loose, sloppy combos - always stunted by Szellö either tying up or stepping outside and jabbing into Grachev's face. Overhand rights for Grachev are falling short every time and seeing him countered with jabs or bopped on his shiny dome with light judge's-gavel right hands. Cuts worsening for Szellö, now squinting both eyes, lacerations on the upper lids and/or corners of both.

    10-9 Szellö

20-18 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)

Well that is an interesting bit of trivia but typically I would only title it "Szellö vs. Grachev II" had they previously met in the pros.

Szello in a big fight this year would be nice. CW is such a stacked division....

    Round 6

Szellö is fending Grachev off with short 1-2-1 combos while stepping laterally, pivoting in the middle of the ring. Grachev is leaning all the way forward, bent at 90° angles, throwing can-openers at the body, occasionally planting them flat against Szellö's sides with some force, making Szellö retreat, but he invariably regroups and starts attacking Grachev's lowered & exposed head from a side angle with plunging jabs and poking right hand leads with his rear knee bouncing to allow him to line up his aim.

    10-9 Szellö

30-27 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)

    Round 7

Szellö is clinching a lot more now, as Grachev is cleaving to him, staying low, flicking up a throwaway fluttering triple jab up top in order to gain entry and then banging away downstairs. Szellö is starting to get just barely grazed with the Grachev right hand up top, pulling himself backwards in a straight line just in time, so Grachev's fist just tickles his nose. Szellö also getting more countering opportunities as Grachev increases the headhunting, taking advantage with some flush right hands of his own chopped between the eyes of Grachev.

10-9 Szellö, a little closer but also with some of the biggest cheers for Szellö yet from the crowd.

40-36 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)

Szellő has been active at least and appears to be trying to get the best opponents available to him(Wilson and Grachev) Taking a similar route to Vlasov. Not always easy but activity is key.

    Round 8

Szellö is getting caught with more of those right hands, a troubling number actually, but still able to keep mostly a step ahead of Grachev, and still edging the connects with his outside jab alone. Grachev only nicking the body in a glancing manner, and that's where most of his touches are. Loads of misses up top for Grachev with the right hand rocketing up from a low cradle. Szellö less mobile now but still able to keep Grachev turning and eating jabs.

10-9 Szellö, another vaguely close one.

50-45 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)

Grachev is still dangerous... Szellő can't sleep on him.

    Round 9

Szellö is fighting Grachev's fight now, trading 1-2s at mid-range and uppercuts on the chest inside. Grachev landing tons of rabbit & nape punches as Szellö attempts to drape his arms over Grachev's frame and smother him. Szellö looking more out of sorts as things progress in the ninth, getting fooled by a high Grachev double-jab feint into ducking directly into the path of a short Grachev right hand. Grachev able to clip Szellö on the ear with a winging left hook while bobbing up and down in a tight circle around him. Messy round, lots of clinches, Szellö getting tagged up when not tying up. Getting in some flush counters but Grachev's stuff is bothering him more than vice-versa.

    10-9 Grachev

59-55 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)

    Round 10

Szellö is circling away, respectfully giving plenty of space as Grachev stalks behind his fluttering high triple jab, wrist held loosely and beaten out like a dusty blanket. Grachev managing to herd Szellö into the ropes & corners with that diversionary jab, then putting in the real work on the body. Grachev now cut between the eyes as Szellö desperately lines up backfoot counter 1-2s. Both men bleeding profusely and smearing it all over each other's chest as they are now clinching frequently (mostly initiated by Szellö as Grachev keeps pressuring). Grachev getting away with some dirty tactics inside, banging his elbow and forearm off Szellö's nose unseen by the ref behind Grachev. A few wild & wooly inside exchanges just before the bell. Szellö standing his ground, admirably, despite being tired and presumably well up on points.

    10-9 Grachev

68-65 Szellö (plus or minus whatever transpired in the first three rounds)
