Round 3, MM opening up more and Bácskai getting hit cleanly a disturbing amount. You can be a hot prospect without much power or with a Swiss cheese defense, but you can't really pull off both at the same time and expect to get very far...

    29-28 Bácskai

This is seriously heating up. Good for the fans, but not so much for prognostication on Bácskai's future. Going life and death now that Mwankwema has abandoned the sparring partner mentality.

10-9 Bácskai, except much closer than were the first two...

    39-37 Bácskai

49-46 Bácskai, stunned Mwankwema a few times in the fifth. Really dialing in the right cross. Mwankwema can't defend against it - bursts straight through his guard even when he puts it up. His only chance is to move (which it never occurs to him to do), or time Bácskai with his own more looping counter right hand but he always connects 2nd, and therefore most of the sting is taken off his as he's already feeling the brunt of Bácskai's when his RH belatedly gets there.

Bácskai going for the stoppage in the sixth, pouring it on, big flurries into the goalposts looking to peck it apart, plus uppercut combos beneath the elbows to get Mwankwema to lower his guard. Bácskai throwing a LOT of leather, unabated, nothing in return from Mwankwema. Bácskai mixing uppers & hooks, wherever he can get a piece, forcing Mwankwema to give up ground, under fire. Mwankwema finally drops to his knees from sheer accumulation, with the ref instinctively realizing this is a surrender. Doesn't really launch into a count, and Mwenkwama doesn't really protest.

    TKO6!!

Mwenkwama has been stopped just twice before in 23 bouts, although he is coming directly off a KO3 loss to Namibian puncher Walter Kautondokwa in a challenge for the WBO African middleweight title last October.

To be fair, Kautondokwa is 16-0 (15) and has also stopped the well regarded Obodai Sai...

He closed the show impressively enough to salvage a match that had seemed midway through in danger of slipping from his grasp and becoming too close for comfort - but I still worry about Bácskai packing enough wallop to hang with the best at MW. (and don't expect him to climb any higher; while he's just getting his feet wet in the pros he just celebrated his 30th birthday a couple of weeks ago. He fought a lengthy campaign in the amateurs, mostly at 64 and 69kg, so if anything he's more of a natural light middleweight...dropping to 154lb, if he can make it, might not be a bad idea, actually...)

I agree he should be campaigning at 154.

Balázs Bácskai sounds like some kind of cystic back zit condition.

Crazy height difference. Egedi, the southpaw with the skinny man-bun or top-knot or whatever the hell that is, wearing the red trunks with "Ewing" printed on the front, is 11-1-2 (5) and looks to have at least 6" on Krammerstodter, who is 3-0-1 (2).

This is for the vacant Hungarian 168lb title, last held by Norbert Nemesepati in 2016.

Egedi's favorite character is JR Ewing from Dallas. :jaja-no:That's why he has Ewing on his trunks which is also his nickname.

Egedi took it on points. That concludes the M4 broadcast.

Yep. Dallas was probably the first American series that were broadcasted in Eastern Europe, so it was very popular here.

    :roflmao:

I was thinking more along the lines of a gangster rap lyric...

"N***as be trying, get my battleship to capsize...
Rolling up quiet on a Balláz's Báckside..."
