In 2 big fights now, Pac beat Dela Hoya and Hatton easier than Mayweather did

Of course it should be taken into account that De La Hoya was severely weight drained and Mayweather is a natural boxing type of guy rather than the puncher that Pacquiao is, but still, considering Mayweather naturally is the significantly bigger man as well as just as great, it's a huge accomplishment for the Filipino.

I'd still pick Mayweather to beat Pac if he hasn't declined significantly, however.

I was just talking about the fight with me Dad and he mentioned this too. It is true, although Floyd beat an undefeated Hatton, who had no doubts and was yet to be stopped. Since then his punch resistance has looked worse. But yes, a lot more impressive in the manner of victory in each.

Pac's victory over Hatton was better, but PBF's victory over DLH was better than Pac's

Better in which way? Pac did not lose one round to DLH and stops him on top of that:think

    Styles, styles, style.

Pac is far more explosive than Mayweather.

So IF he was going to beat these 2 guys, it was always going to be quicker than Mayweather managed.

But there were bigger question marks over whether Pac would beat both Hatton & DLH than there were with Mayweather.

In simple terms, both Pac and PBF took the same test and Pac got the higher grade!

And just how do you come to that conclusion? Pac made him quit while PBF had to fight him for 12 rounds and didnt do as much damage as Pac did to Oscar's face.....:huh

    Not "easier". Easy.

They both had easy fights with De La Hoya and Hatton... never a moment where the final outcome was in doubt.

On any day, any fighter can be above or below their best standard. Trying to rate wins in this regard is complete conjecture.

Oscar was severely drained. Hasn't fought a southpaw in years. Didn't fight at WW in years. And hadnt looked impressive since his showcase against Mayorga. But to be fair, I think Pacquiao held back and coudlve actually put Oscar on his ass if he didnt idolize the man. And Oscar's rustiness and declining abilities were the same in the Mayweather fight as well. But Roach knew everything there is to know about Oscar because of the time spent with him so that is what led to the ultimate beat down of Oscar. Roach.

Mayweather fought Hatton at a weight class that Hatton was clearly not good in. He fought him on Vegas turf. Joe being the ref helped Ricky VERY little. And it ultimately took a ring post and ten rounds for Hatton to finally get KO'd

Pacquiao on the other hand...fought Hatton at his best weight. With a neautral ref. And although his punch resistance was a bit shot, he had recently picked up a tad bit more skill under Floyd Mayweather Sr. And Manny floored him IN THE FIRST ****ING ROUND. FINISHING HIM OFF IN THE SECOND!

Mayweather/Pacquiao...not looking good for Mayweather anymore now is it?

People were saying before this fight that Mayweather would tear Pacquiao to total **** because of his leaky defense. Now its not so clear in the cards for Mayweather after this.

I actually have no doubt in my mind that if that fight happens at 140, Mayweather will hit the deck hard for the first time in his career. If at anything about 143. Mayweather will win a SD...and I still wouldnt count out the idea that Mayweather would be on his ass.

What Pacman has done is take the best wins that Mayweather had and out perfrom Floyd. It is impressive. Floyd rarely takes on a real challenge, but I do think he has the skill to be good. If he does fight Pacman I think he could beat him in a close fight. I just am not sure he will take the chance and fight Pacman.

PBF wasn't trying to make Oscar quit and Oscar actually had times where he did some things to keep PBF from going on the offensive.

Oscar never went after Pacquiao (not that Manny was giving him much room to do so anyways, but the intent on Oscar's part to fight against Mayweather was much more clear than with Pacquiao.)
