Margarito will continue to be the best WW on 09.

It will be decided in June in New York when Cotto-Margo 2 takes place.

Yeah, I think it'll be hard for any WW to land clean on PBF and defeat him, but styles make fights and would favor AM to win and possibly Cotto.

Margarito who is the perceived best looks like he will reign for a least another year. He's already signed to fight a legend in Mosley who I fully expect him to beat and will look good on him resume. Then in all likeliness he'll rematch Cotto and will be heavily favored going into that fight.

IMO the best welter is PTP who Margarito is in no hurry to rematch. If he can get the types of fights Margo is getting or perhaps a fight against Margo himself then there would be no question on who the best really is.

Probably Margarito, but Williams has a good chance IF those two meet.

I'd like to see Cotto be #1 again, of course, but I don't see him beating Margo...

We'll have to see I guess. The thing is, Welterweight is a great division.

Cotto wouldn't beat Margo in ten attempts, even though he is probably a better fighter.

Williams vs Margo II would be a great fight, if Tony turns up for that one.......

I disagree, cotto has to learn from his mistakes from the 1st fight though, eg attack the body much more often instead of going for flashy combos to the head and to hold at times when he is under pressure.

Cotto was far better than margarito in the 1st 5 rounds and and could do that again but needs to slow margo and not get drawn into as much of a war this time. I think margo wins but i certainly wouldn't discount cotto
