Pavlik-Bute or a Pavlik-Miranda rematch could be interesting if Miranda wins the WBO title.

Sorry to have to disagree on that second point. A Pavlik-Miranda rematch wouldn't be interesting to me even if Edison were bare-knuckled and Pavlik had 20oz gloves.

The first fight was a barn burner. Why wouldn't you want to see a rematch. Pavlik seems to have lost some of his mojo. He'd be moving up and fighting for a title.

    What's not to like?

It was an extremely one-sided beating to my recollection, and even at 80% and moving up to 168 Pavlik should have little problem achieving the same end result. It'd be as entertaining as any ass-kicking, but not exactly competitive.

Let's be serious ... if we're going by that then lets say that he's better than 90-95%

Hate and ignorance are powerful narcotics. Once a guy like you gets hooked on both, it's damn hard to let them go.

I used to like pavlik a lot, it's a shame this whole thing coz now I think he's an absolute disgrace. He needs to fight Williams.

Williams. He will crush Williams like a bug.

The problem is where he goes after that, because I don't see him beating Bute. He could sit around at 160, but his legacy will probably be left in the dust compared to the Super Six winner in that event.

Pavlik comprehensively beat him and left no question over who was the better man the first time. Miranda's looked like absolute **** since.

Haglar and Hopkins did not rule over strong middleweight divisions, but RULE they did, and they both seem to have done alright.

I was thinking that, but the pot seems richer at 168 than it does at 160. There are some good (though over-rated) prospects at MW, but the more established names are in the higher weight divisions.

I'm also not sure if Pavlik can go on making 160 for that much longer. He has to either stay at 160 for the long-term or go up fairly early. There isn't a middle ground that I can see.

Okay, Bernard worked with what he had to work with...but Hagler didn't rule over a strong MW division? :blood Half of his contenders would toy with peak 100% versions of Pavlik, Abraham, Sturm, Sylvester, or Taylor.
