1) Matthysse won that fight on my card.

2) the Knock down was in fact illegal. you're not allowed to hit another if they're caught up in the ropes.

3) the ref never waited for a lull in the fight when Lucas knocked his gum shield out of the ring, he stepped in immediately for some known reason. that was BS!

4) Danny hit Lucas with over 20 low blows to make him twitchy whenever he got close. the ref took no points. that was also BS!

5) due to Danny not getting blown away early and keeping his shape, the judges gave him points that were never his. as i say, Lucas won the fight. and he'll win the rematch if Danny gives it to him. but that's doubtful isn't it.

All the bout did was to show that Matthysse was not invincible. Therefore, he needs to adjust his fight plan to include more scientific boxing technique and less punching power. Remember that was was not hurt in the bout. I feel that once he learns to make proper adjustments he will come back stronger than ever.

 

Lucas didn't win that, come on now. The judges were spot on. Lucas had only himself to blame.

 

Broner's defeat was far more damaging to his self believe that he was the new Mayweather- getting outboxed by someone like Maidana

i didn't see a big difference in the abilities of garcia/matthysse. garcia got all the big breaks. i'd bet matthysse would win 6 of 10 fights between them.
