In 3 years Gervonta Davis will give Loma a very hard fight

Davis is only getting better and Loma only has 1-3 years left before he starts to decline. And Davis is the naturally larger man as well. Yes he won his first title at 130, but he's a stocky, muscular guy, a natural LW really. While Loma is a natural FW fighting above his natural weight. Size will matter, as well as Davis' rough and rugged pressure style.

Obviously few would give Davis a chance at 130 with prime Loma and an inexperienced Davis, but that fight won't and didn't happen. Floyd Mayweather won't let it happen. Which is a shame. Because I believe Davis would have taken the fight if offered the opportunity, but his influence is dwarfed by Mayweather's.

Which brings me to my next point. Davis should really look to divorce himself of all dealings and interaction with FMJ. They are nothing alike. Mayweather was born with a silver spoon, raised in Grand Rapids Michigan. He was raised and trained by former world class contenders and taught how to box as soon as he started walking.

Davis comes from West Baltimore, the roughest streets in the entire country. It's a war zone down there. It's not uncommon for 5-6 unrelated shootings every day in West Baltimore. You just walk around in broad daylight and people are shooting each other. He's lucky that he's not dead or in jail by now and that's just a candid and honest assessment. He was never fed a silver spoon.

I'm willing to give Davis a chance. Mayweather was risk averse in the ring, a boring fighter whose only concern was picking his opponents at the right time and/or making sure they weren't capable of beating him like say a prime DLH or Mosley easily were capable of. Davis is a TV friendly pressure fighter, let's not ruin a good thing.

Mayweather marketed himself as PBF and later Money. A fighter with extreme arrogance and vanity. Davis is blue collar. He needs to get rid of Mayweather.

I'd like to see Davis in with Berchelt. 50/50 fight for me, but Mayweather won't let it happen.

I really like Gervonta, skilled guy with power, fun to watch. But the only way I'd pick him against Loma is if Loma starts to decline as you said, Loma is simply not getting beat by smaller guys than him, he's far too skilled.

Ukraine is in a ACTUAL WAR, and has REAL poverty.

Not some obese kids addicted to KFC running round with guns cause they are bored in the most richest country in the world.

Loma is 30 yrs old not 35. In three years from now he is still in his prime. I would agree if he is 33 or 34 now because there is some kind of decline from 35 + but 30? No way. Look at Usyk. Usyk will turn 32 in five months.

Loma comes from a blue collar place as well. You wont see any prima donna attitude from him.

Though if you underestimate how rough West Baltimore is you should take a drive there one day. The city was literally on fire 3 years ago.

31 isn't old. But 33 for a reflexes oriented lower weight class fighter is getting old or just plain old.

I not saying Ukraine is a great place to grow up, but Baltimore homicide rate is 12 times higher than the Ukraine.

That's becuase they have police to report it and a actually functioning government.
Baltimores murder rate probably dwarfs ethopias, where would you prefer to grow up?

I think in 3 years with his am fights and age and especially his style, I think he'll be approaching or will be past physical prime, reflex fighters break down far quicker than conventional fighters as history has shown.
