and his last fight was in 2013

Who knows what James Kirkland could have been doing in the in between time. Wasn't the guy in jail? He could have been sitting around in texas eating smoked bbq getting fat all day. This is just a pay day for him....

Don't let ODLH fool you. This is nothing but a glorified sparring session. Canelo is going to whip the sh!t out of kirkland like ishida did.

Why focus on the negatives always? Who is to say Kirkland hasn't been getting his act together, working hard and staying low until he is ready to get back into the game again? All that bad energy isn't good for you cuh.

kirkland's only chance is to go for broke right out of the gate. i agree, this a glorified sparring session. team canelo will do more work hyping this fight then he's going to do in the ring.

Or he could have been training his butt off on PED's. This is a huge opportunity for him.

it's not about negatives and positives.... it's about reality vs perception.... Canelo fights frequently vs A level competition (floyd, lara, etc) Kirkland NEVER fights and when he does its against garbage competition. Who know's if the guys even been training and sharp. Taking a year off is forever in boxing.

Kirkland will have 2 good rounds in him at VERY BEST. Then canelo will **** him. I wanted the cotto fight to happen but it didn't. Canelo would win that also.

Realistically nobody at 154 will beat canelo

Kirkland doesn't seem to be the most stable person. I hope that this fight doesn't fall through.

last I heard, Wolfe said she hadn't seen Kirkland for a while (a new girlfriend was cited) - so if he has been training, he's got a new trainer and been keeping it under wraps.
