Unfortunately, he doesn't bring much to the table.

Kirkland has that freak power with respectable speed. Sure he's gotten KTFO but so has Khan, Lewis, Klitschko, Pacquiao, etc...

Kirkland is a bum. He will be lucky to survive the 1st round. Maybe Canelo will carry him a bit.

Well, on the bright side, it won't be pay per view. As many have said, Kirkland, win or lose, is always in exciting fights and can be dangerous. Canelo is the favorite by far but one thing is for sure: there will be fireworks.

Seeing these f@gs saying Kirkland will be easy work and that he's a bum only shows how highly they rate Canelo. Kirkland is not an easy fight for anyone.

Not really KTFO'd considering he rose from the deck and attempted to continue. He also appeared to be overweight on that night.

The general point that he's still a capable opponent is taken, tho. That's been proven in his subsequent wins over Angulo and Tapia who both provided adequate tests.

If Kirkland is still with Wolfe, I'm very curious on how this fight goes. If not, Canelo stops him by the 10th round. If Kirk had an iron jaw I'd be more optimistic. But he basically just relies on his power to beat his opponents into submission. Canelo has enough mental toughness to weather that. And I see him having a lot more success with his shots landing than vice versa.

I wouldn't use the term bum,but he surely has a very fragile glass jaw and will indeed be lucky to get out of the first round.

That china chin of Kirkland's is likely why he doesn't box much. Who wants to get knocked out all the time by featherfisted fighters like Ishida.:rofl:rofl:rofl

Canelo actually has a pretty good resume after this. Trout, Angulo, Lara, and Kirkland.

When Mayweather takes long lay offs and barely ever fights he doesn't seem to have any rust at all. Some guys can do it like that. Pacquiao took a year off after getting KO'd and came back clean and sharp. Kirkland is a thuggish headcase, but he's also a beast with only one loss and an 84% knockout rate. That means he's a top ten puncher in the sport. Just remember what he did to Tapia last time out. That was right after he'd been in jail for a year.

Ishida was his 3rd fight in a little more than 1 month's time. It was a one off, otherwise he'd had been KOd multiple times since then.

Pretty good? Probably the best resume in the last 3 years out of anyone around his division.

The only reason Kirkland's glass jaw hasn't been shattered more is that he doesn't fight often enough to expose his fragile mandible to the shattering it would undoubtedly receive if he actually got in the ring.

When you get starched by a featherfisted fighter, you have a glass jaw, period end of paragraph. :deal Glass jaws exist in boxing and Kirkland has one.:yep
