In a perfect world. How would you end ODLH, JC, RJJ & B-Hop's career? How would you shut all PBF haters and nuthuggers? What would be your next 3 fights if you were Margarito? How would you redeem Cotto's career after his first lost to Margo?
odlh beating cotto in a 12 round brawl where both touch the mat dont care much about jc rjj beating calz & sam peter losing a ud to calzaghe floyd beating cotto in a 12 rd ud would shut EVERYONE up next 3 marg fights clottey williams cotto rematch id put cotto up against cintron for his first fight back
Good questions. Oscar would fight Margo to a competitive finish, win or lose, in an outdoor bout at a packed Dodger Stadium in LA. Roy Jones and B Hop would end their careers in a great fight against each other, with Hops eeking out a razor thin decision. Margo's next three would be Clottey, Oscar, and Williams. Cotto would take on a Collazo type, then Cintron, then a rematch with Margo if he beats Cintron. There is no way to shut up the PBF haters and huggers.
Agreed. Id have JC beating Pavlik by convincing UD and I think Floyd would have to beat Margarito rather than Cotto.
I like this. But I think Floyd has to beat Margo now. If he beats Cotto people will just say he beat the guy Margo beat. But if he comes back and beats Margo, even though some people/haters will still talk about Cotto and Williams, he has a shot to shut a lot of people up. But these are all ifs.
Oscar can pretty much hang them up now. If not, give Cotto a comeback fight on his way out. Joe Calzaghe can face whoever emerges at Light Heavyweight as the best and call it a day. Roy Jones and Bernard simply have to face each other. I don't care who wins, they need to fight, since I see this as the one fight that will get BOTH pumped up and ready to go to war. I don't believe even Calzaghe will bring the best of whatever Roy has left in him out. That fight can be for money basically, but you better believe that Roy and Bernard deep down truly have a grudge against each other and neither will go down without fireworks in that match. Floyd needs to fight Margarito. He didn't need to before so much. Before a fight with Cotto was ideal, and now for obvious reasons, Margarito is the man to beat. Ideally Margarito could fight Floyd, Oscar, and then circle back and fight Cotto (by then Cotto would have two or three fights under his belt and be ready to rematch). Cotto could take on Oscar, Clottey, or Berto. Some might feel after a loss Cotto doesn't deserve another title shot against someone else, but I would say that Cotto is still number two in the division, even losing to Margarito. Cintron would be a risk, and maybe not a great comebacking fight. On the other hand, if he truly feels mentally ready again already, he could take that fight.
To be honest with you, I don't like the Cintron fight for Cotto at this point. It's a high risk/low reward if you ask me for Cotto plus another L in Cotto's resume would be dreadful. I always wanted for Cotto to be match with Berto and take that belt.
