Ehh... I would say no. He struggled so badly to pull the trigger. His once piston like jab was non existent. His chin held up. Not an enjoyable fight to watch either, so I hope we don't have to see it.
He figured Tyson out in the last round, when Fury clinched he'd shoot uppercuts in during the clinch and hurt him a few times that way, and in the rematch Wlad will initiate clinches from the opening bell and get him out of there within 6.
unless he goes back to his pre-Steward self, he's going to lose 10 times out of 10 to last night's version of Fury
I can't write off someone with the track record of success and one punch power of Wlad, but I would make Fury the solid favorite going into the fight. People deal with 0% and 100% chances too frequently in boxing. It's less like an on/off switch, and more like a dimmer.
It depends if he can change his style. His usual cautious style will never work against Fury as Fury has to much movement and Wlad doesn't like to throw against a moving target. He will have to take more risks, but will he? You are asking a man who has fought in the same style for the past decade and doesn't posses a risk taking, fighting heart to suddenly open up more and be more aggressive.
Sure I mean he probably improves and throws more and takes lessons from the film Can fury lose the weight again and be as motivated also can he adjust to anything Wlads team changes My only question is can banks do that and can Wlad respond at this age
Yes. Everybody should. But the fact he was too scared to throw wont go away overnight. Maybe he has learnt you do not have the time to wait for a perfect punch without risk of taking a shot in return but he acts like the touch of glove leather is just lethal to him.
Well said and I fully agree, and I like that dimmer switch illustration I am picking Wlad to win the rematch. Late tko
Sure, in the rematch he'll start firing early like he did in the last two rounds and probably take Tyson out in the middle rounds. He was just too cautious, and shouldn't be initiating clinches when he gets inside. He should be throwing punches on the inside since he's the smaller man and just had to work to get past Fury's greater reach.
