It will be interesting how quickly the rematch takes place, if it does at all. The further it is away the more reluctant Wlad will be to take it up. The division is now open imo.
certainly. if I was his corner I would have told him to just run into Fury and maul him outta there after the 7th. Taking the chance of walking on to something himself for granted, because it's not like Fury has bigtime power. If Manny was still alive he would have slapped him in the face to wake him up.
He needs to sit down with his brother and watch the fight back, vitali needs to ask him during specific points of the fight why he didn't throw a punch, literally make him embarrassed at how **** he did, maybe that will sort wlads mentality out.
A slap in the face is exactly what Wlad needs, maybe losing his title gives him a wakeup call. He needs to get a little crazy, get in there and start dishing out knuckle sandwiches.
No. Vlad went for broke in the last round and Fury clinched because he could. Fury beats Vlad everytime.
No. Fury has control of his mind and has snatched his Soul. Once that happens the fight has settled before the bell even rings.
fury didn't just beat him he humiliated and damaged his ego too. i would say Wlads confidence is gone never to return and it wouldn't surprise me if Wlad loses even worse next time. wlad is gone people he has No chance at all wlad has truly been exposed age or not
I still think wlad underestimated Fury and didn't believe he would end up in the trenches, I think its conceivable there was something wrong but he went ahead anyway believing Fury wouldn't be able to exploit it. I don't buy that the mind games worked either, if anything I think Wlad saw Fury as a joke, he was more effected by Haye imo. I think it was just a terrible version of Wlad against a very prepared and underestimated Tyson. I am not a big fan of either so I don't feel biased here. To me its more of a question of if Klit can physically be up to the task as he seemed tired very quickly to me. If he can start landing as he has done in the past Wlad will win, he is the more skilled fighter, it was looking very worrying for Fury in the last round, I think stamina issues stopped Wlad from doing that earlier. So I do think age is a factor, if Wlad cant sustain any of his attacks it will go the same way, the younger fresher Fury will wear him out again. I like what Fury did but he did take out a past it Wlad imo, Wlad has looked a lot better and I cant believe Fury was solely responsible for making him look that bad, Fury looked terrible himself at times. If Wlad goes for the rematch I would say its very possible he will win, because he is a smart guy, if he feels he cant physically do it he would retire, if he goes ahead he must feel pretty certain he can improve from the last fight which spells bad news for Fury.
Obviously, he has a chance because he hits hard but so do most heavies. Short of reinventing himself I see little chance for a different outcome. He would basically need to go back to his 2003 self and try to knock Fury out faster than Fury knocks him out. Questionable whether he still has what it takes to be as active as he once was though. He's almost 40.
Hell no, Wlad is a coward, always was, always will be. He can't go for it, he's mentally weak, he has no heart...
Wlad has a chance, but IMO Wlad will be a slight underdog this time around - if Fury applies the same level-headedness and discipline.
If he doesn't throw that right hand he may as well stay in Florida with the Mrs. That's my advice to him.
