In All Honesty, Which fighter's hype did you fall for?

    I though george groves was gonna KO Froch. I didn't know the man was kind of chinney.

    That's why I picked Gonzalez to win, the Ponce De Leon fight was awkward they didn't match up well he got stopped on cuts.
    But Mares and Gonzalez matched up perfectly, for Gonzalez, and I think Mares was buying into his own hype a little too much, got too ****y with a dangerous puncher and got stopped because of it. I figured stylistically Gonzalez would have his number, the same way Juanma has Ponce De Leon's.

    I actually hope he doesn't rematch him the same thing will happen again or it will be ugly and unpleasnt UD for Mares with his nw style, which he needs to drop immediately.

    Groves is still legit...was winning that fight intill Froch came on strong later in the fight...yet again got tired and lost focus...still young and got alot of talent...I expect him still to go far in the division especially with Froch retiring soon...

    Dominick Quinn - The way he easily destroyed Michael Grant and bested Duncan Dokiwari, I thought he was the goods.
    I remember Emanuel Stewart saying this kid is the future...but thanks to Monte Barrett it all started to go down from there.

    I think Guinn was a product of being burnt out. I think he was one of those guys with 300 plus amateur fights. I was at the Grant fight and still vividly remember Grant bouncing off the ropes the same time Guinn through a haymaker that would have possible killed Grant had it landed. Still a brutal KO.

    For me I'd say Julio Cesar Garcia. To this day I STILL think he has the tools but there are some concerning things I heard about him, including he lost on purpose to get out of his contract. No idea what he's up to now, I thought he was going to win titles from 140 up to even middleweight because of his height. I don't know how much hype he really had though.

    Tough question because a lot of the guys you are saying didn't live up to the hype maybe did more than I ever expected from them. I mean anytime you win a title you're doing something less than 1 percent of boxers do.

    When I was really young I liked any heavyweight with a lot of power, lol. Tye Fields was one of those guys. I was young, take it easy on me, lol.

    Yeah kind of, it caused me to not have too much faith in any fighter, nobody is unbeatable, so he's the last one I bought into the hype with.

    Of course no one is unbeatable. Everyone(literally) on this planet is beatable, that's just common sense. No one is perfect and no one will ever be perfect.

    See that's a good life lesson I learned from watching boxing as a child, seeing your favorite boxer KTFO can humble you and lower your expectations.

    However there are a lot of guys I hope for the best with, that I think are great talents but I always got that KO lingering in the back of my mind not to get to worked up over and too defensive about any of my favorite fighters, because everyone could be a well timed perfectly placed shot away from being potentially exposed.
