Hopkins had a much wider ability as a boxer than kessler, but he had a 60% tank at 43, so i think a prime kessler without injured hand was a bit better. ward beat kessler prime, just deal with it.
Who has he beaten to be an A level calibre fighter? A level is reserved for the likes of a Mosley, Hopkins, ODLH, Ward etc. That level. Even someone like Cotto who has a far deeper resume than Kessler barely scrapes by as an A level fighter.
he took froch, but it was a either way decision. that is supportive argument for being elite, though not a conclusive argument, since they each took one apeice at home. He also led calzaghe in joes own backyard till round 6 when his hand gave in. Without the damage he might well have won it by a small margin. These together are fair play to call him an elite ie. A class.
Never said he was. I'm talking about the light heavyweight Hopkins who would have absolutely had no trouble dismantling the best Kessler.
I was a big fan of Kessler, but damn, he gets treated like some ATG on this board. He really hasn't done much more than Austin Trout IMO
well that's bull**** , Kessler was a excellent, beastly, big punching, granited chinned warrior who unified world titles and only lost to ATG's Trout lost to the fricking Charlo Brothers!!!! and Erislandy Lara!! Kessler would have ****ing wiped the floor with all three guys of that level.
Read what I wrote >> '' wiped the floor with all three guys of that level'' Well he's definitely a British ATG and he'll definitely get in the hall of fame.
An old trout lost very close fights to the Charlo. Keep that in mind. Possibly beat guys 'of that level', but wipes the floor? A 168 Erislara Landy would give anyone at 168 fits IMO.
