In any other sport would people believe an athlete who refused drug testing?

Yes the testing in Football is subpar. But Footballers dont punch peoples face in for a living.

For a deadly combat sport the best testing should be mandatory.

If that was your son in the ring you would want to ensure that he was on a even playing field. Anyone saying any different is a liar!

Biggest fight in history, best fighters in the world, biggest purses should mean the best testing to ensure a fair fight!

So what your saying is Pacquiao is acting like a five year old? In terms of making rules refer to my earlier post - Pacquiao is the worst for this.

Again my original post still applies - in any sport any contestant under any circumstances whether or not it was in the rules or not, refused to take drug tests we would assume they are cheating.

Especially if they came from a camp with a notorious history of drug abuse.

anyway. floyd doesn't make the rules...if he doesn't want to be a boxer he can **** off...otherwise he can adhere to the same rules every other boxer in the world adheres to...which is what pac does. the end

In other sports, the other team doesn't demand it to gain a psychological advantage.

In other sports, it's not a one man against one man mental war before you even get into the ring.

In other sports, you don't tell other people about their superstitions and tell them off about it. There are a LOT of superstitious players, using the same socks, using a lucky necklace, a lucky bat, heck, there are guys who clip their nails on the basketball court as a ritual because they think it does something for them.

In the Philippines, blood means a lot more than it does in the US. It's a country with some people that think certain talismans give their fighters bulletproof strength. And Pacquiao came from the lower classes, so he's going to be more superstitious than a normal rich boy from the Americas would ever understand.

He even has the same routine every fight ever since the Morales fight because he thinks he lost it by deviating from said routine. And there are youtube videos where he blames him losing on testing blood a day before the Morales fight long before the debacles we have now.

Bowing down to your opponent's demands before a fight is a sign of submission. Even Hagler agrees that Pacquiao shouldn't do things like that. But that's all stupid now, since Pac has agreed to the testing. He shouldn't have done that to get this fight.

Again Pacquiao is the only guy I no who has won a world title at a catchweight.... were where the rules then?

10 mill per pound weight penalty is not in the rule book... Lmao it was a pacquiao requirement. So one fighter can make his own penalties?? It's not his job to enforce anything.. *******s, you lose.

Football causes a greater chance for Alzheimer's and brain related trauma than boxing does. The force generated by slamming your armored body on someone else does that to people.

Best testing isn't mandatory because it costs too much money and the guy getting 50 to 100 bucks to fight will never be able to pay it.

Besides, there is already testing in place. The commissions handle that. It's much better than one man forcing a system everyone else can't pay for.

Dude, like I've said before. Submission to demands is already part of the fight game. There's a reason why some fighters don't adhere to demands by other fighters. Pacquiao doesn't have to adhere to anyone's demands because he's also a rich guy. This is a psychological battle already like Hagler thinks as well.

That's why I didn't like Pacquiao saying he agreed to the testing crap. That's already backing down.

Summary: This ain't about no damn test, it's about a game of who blinks first.

Anybody else who thinks otherwise is reaching.

For the last time ........ Pac didnt refuse drug testing. He refused the cut off date !!!!

He didnt want it 14 days to the fight. I dont know why but he didnt say NO to drug testing.

He also was willing to take it immediatly after the fight.

They just couldnt agree on a cutoff date.
