I said from day one that Hopkins would put on a clinic against Pavlik, but I never expected him to shut him out like he did. I'm in awe of Hopkins. The man has no worries now, because he can't be understated after what he accomplished last night. What a stunning fighter.

Can you get your head out of Hopkins' rectal canal now? Big Reg is getting jealous.

    Nice input.

Hopkins has never recieved the recognition that a man of his talent deserves. He will get it now.

Just proves how much more special Joe is defeating him recently.

Earth to Europe...you dont get credit for a win if you didnt fight. Carry on.

Not quite. Two different fighter showed up for two different fights. Calzaghe is certainly special but the Hopkins fight doesn't make him look any more or less special. I'd LOVE to see the Hopkins we saw from this fight against Calzaghe, the high output would make for some high drama.

If Hopkins fought every fight like he did last night's fight, He'd probably be the top P4P money maker in the sport.

let me get this straight you spend the best part of a year degrading hopkins his accomplishments and skills of a fighter only to use his latest win as justification for putting calzaghe on an even higher pedestal than you already have him on? get a grip

    i agree completely.

he's one of the best fighters in history to carry his skills past the age of 40 without question.

people are always fast (and will always be) to play down a guy like pavlik after a fight like this but i think a lot of people - me included - forgot what made hopkins a truly great fighter.

    THAT'S how legends are made.
