Well , i don't really give a **** about him in particular. I mean if he loses against Fedor...it'll be both good for the legacy of emelianenko & for strikeforce.

But , this is just a quick remark about why i personally think that Brett is a legit threat.

1 - He's undefeated. (yeah , i know what some of you will say. Undefeated against nobodies.) But it's still worth noting in a sport such as MMA. (where upsets are rather prevalent)

2 - No matter what you think of the above. Don't forget that he still defeated Arlovski. Yes , we could argue and say that it was a fluke or that Arlovski had a horrible gameplan , or that he was taken by surprise. But no matter the reason , it still happened. Maybe Arlovski would kill him in a rematch , maybe not...But Rogers is still undefeated even after confronting one legit top fighter.

3 - He's bigger than Fedor. He's taller , heavier & has a bigger reach of course , Fedor already had to fight bigger opponents in his career but it's not like this will be in emelianenko's advantage to once again , fight a bigger man.

4 - He's got KO power. He's got a 90% KO ratio and he almost finished all his previous opponents in the 1rst round. However , i've noticed that he's rather slow. Or is he ?...He still was able to surprise arlovski. His sudden burst of combos worked on andrei.

5 - the fujita factor. And i guess this last point goes not just for Rogers , but for pretty much all of fedor's opponent (and his future opponents too). Nobody , NOBODY...thought Fujita would've been able to pull that ****. Especially him. But the element of surprise is what it is. and that's why it works. And it almost worked against Emelianenko...And it worked against Arlovski.

Of course , what are the odds for that to happen again ? Quite slim. But not impossible.

Feb 2007...Sokoudjou shocks the mma community by finishing Rogerio in 23 seconds.

Everybody thought it was a fluke. but then...

April 2007...Sokoudjou does it again...and finishes Arona in less than two minutes.

And yet , Soko got later owned by Sobral , Machida & Arthur Luis Cane.

Do i think that Soko is better than Arona or Rogerio ? or that he'd be able to repeat these victories ? **** NO....Nonetheless , Soko still defeated them even though he was quite one dimensional compared to the guys he defeated.

A similar example...Abidi , defeating Peter Aerts TWICE....
    Even better... Sapp owning Hoost..TWICE.

Of course , Brett Rogers isn't fighting in K1..and he's no sokoudjou and fedor isn't Rogerio , Arona , Aerts or Hoost...

But i still pointing these fights to prove that well...**** happens.
(bernard hopkins vs clinton mitchell)...and it can happen when you least expect it.

And Fedor isn't immuned to to this. Nobody is. It happened to Lennox , to Tyson , to Crocop , to GSP....

So , i'm not saying that Rogers is fedor's most dangerous opponent since prime Crocop. But he's just as legit as anybody can be in ufc's current hw division. (or to repeat myself...just as legit as Rahman was against Lennox).

Strikeforce's hw division is extremely thin. But not empty. Fedor has a 3 fight deal and they'll be able to give him 3 legit fighters imo. (Overeem , Werdum & Rogers).

And again , if you think that all the best are fighting in the ufc. Think again... Rothwell is in the ufc now. And he's gonna be Velasquez' next opponent.

Rothwell lost to Arlovski. Gonzaga who's still seen as a dangerous opponent for anyone...lost TWICE to Werdum.

So in conclusion...Brett has a puncher's chance. has ko power..& though his chance of beating fedor is quite thin...it still exists.

size has nothing to do with it..

semmy schilts anyone,in fact the majority of fedors opponents are bigger than him.

    anything can happen though.
