What a beautiful performance by Locche. Even though he didn't hit hard, he kept his distance and made Fuji miss so badly that it eventually made him completely gass out and quit.

I don't usually like defensive boxing, but I love Locce, Pep and even Pernell fights.

There's something cartoon like about Fuji in this fight.

Never seen a guy get his machismo so brutally stripped from him.

I think it's the finest display of defensive boxing in history. What's interesting about Locche and Whitaker is the way that they move. They are purely reflexive. Floyd Mayweather can't move like that. He is all textbook. I think Pep was a bit of both.

Locche was the best defensive boxer ever. Anyone who says Mayweather has probably never heard of Locche. This fight against Fuji was a fine performance but his 1 st fight with Antonio Cervantes was possibly the best display of defense in the history of boxing. Kid Pambele was better than Fuji but hardly laid a glove on him and was shutout on all 3 cards. The 15 th rd was classic Locche. He hated training and was a life long chain smoker which adds to his mystique. Locche was a boxing genius and the most ring wise boxer to ever pull on a glove.

This was the first Locche fight I've ever seen, I'll look into those Cervantes fights soon.

Locche was a next level genius in boxing. He did things that you couldn't teach the greatest boxers in an entire career.

It's not just reflex. It's an innate understanding of what the other opponent is going to do. Locche could second guess you and be out of the way of a punch before you even began throwing it.
