The notion that boxing is made or broken on the back of one fighter is hysterical nonsense. Maybe for casuals - but if you're posting on this forum, chances are you are not a casual.

Floyd Mayweather is not the first person to have the style he did in his later career, nor will he be the last. He is, however, the first fighter to carve out his vast financial worth chiefly off the back of people who are absolutely consumed by their hate for him. For years the people who claim he fought nobodies were buying his PPVs praying he'd lose. Meanwhile the rest of us boxing fans were just appreciating his skills.

With regards to protecting a 0 - that has more to do with the hysterical nature of fans in the modern age than anything else. One loss now and you're a bum. The best fighters still fight the best as often now as they did since the 80s. It is only less frequent now than, say, the 40s or 50s purely because the fighters only fight 3 times per year now, maximum. There are a few exceptions, but that's complicated by further outside issues now than there were then too. None of which you can attribute to Mayweather.

Massive finances in PPV events, greater division among promotional vehicles, more problems with network televisions and the biggest problem of all - many, many more versions of paper titles, which actively encourage fighters to avoid one another instead of forcing them to fight like in the past. As I said, none of this is the result of one fighter.

Floyd is just one of many reason's boxing is dying. He exemplifies a lot of things people hate about boxing (ducking, greed, diva attitude, etc) and he's set a bad precedent, but the **** flows everywhere. It's all the corruption, greed, promoters with own agendas, endless weight classes / belts / organizations. Fighter's don't fight the best, and are often unable to. Fans are tired of it, and MMA has taken over. The best athletes are going to MMA now instead of boxing. I'm always a boxing fan first, but this sport is dying and your in denial if you don't see it.

BS Pac mentioned no pain immediately after the fight at all. Stop with the excuses already. You can watch it in slow motion, no sound and there was no sign of injury. He was trying to get pain killers so he could fight Floyd with an advantage. No injuries on his pre-fight medical questionnaire. It's black and white.

    1. You're 230lbs of fat. BTW, prove you're 6'3, 230 of muscle because when I saw you, you weren't black, you were FAT and you were pretty damn small.
    2. Mayweather is the size of a 14 y/o boy, not me.
    3. Semi-shot doesn't mean sucks. Of course Pac can beat a Vargas, even a Thurman who is basic to me.
    4. AIBA's are legit regardless of how popular it is and what losers like you think of it here. This is called General Boxing Forum, not General Pro Boxing Forum.
How does it feel to be wrong every single time you write to me? You're the easiest I've ever toyed with on here.

I've posted pics of myself here years ago do a search I'm black jackass you're a troll. I'm not fat I'm built like Bryant Jennings fool. Your nerdt little ass has never posted a pic or a video because you ain't ****.

You're the size of a 14 year old boy until you prove otherwise wimp.

May 2nd 2015 has ruined your life you obsess on bringing pbf too bad for you it won't work and pbf will forever own pac in the ring.

Amateur record has no bearing on pro boxing dummy. Gggs career compared to pbfs pro career is a cruel joke pbf at 34 lineal at 4 different weights and already an atg ggg at 34 not one fighter of note on his resume and scared of ward..

How does it feel to be wrong about pbf-pac?:risas3::risas3::risas3: and prove you don't know **** about boxing or how to evaluate once in a generation talent like pbf when it's staring you in your damn face. I've destroyed you for the better part of a year now and it never gets old.
