But I'm not sure I agree with it.

 

Who gives a **** about MMA? It's a difficult sport, it involves far more variables than mere modern boxing where you can't even use even 30% of the in-fighting skills as you once could in the old days, with different, smaller gloves.
People respect MMA because it's about FIGHTING to win, and it's best for a street fight. Who's seen as the champion-father of MMA? Someone greater than Mayweather, he's called Bruce Lee.

Any sport where a WWE wrestler can come in and dominate established fighters and champions can't be taken seriously like Brock Lesner did. That would never happen in boxing. The level of skill between boxing and MMA is as vast as the Milky Way Galaxy.

Its true that Marciano's & Mayweather's box rec reads 49-0 but that's where it ends Rocky was a FIGHTER!! ducked no one Mayweather used every method possible legal & illegal to keep that 0 knowing he would never be exposed Then along came Thomas Hausers expose over the illegal IV scandal. Mayweather at 130 let alone welterweight on the other hand doesn't know how to FIGHT and is one dimensional by shutting down and getting static whenever he's faced with a certain pressure style, verily he lost to Castillo and drew with Maidana although judging in boxing is crook.
