If there was any substance to any of the allegations it would have escalated towards a warrant of arrest.

However it is in black and white that Floyd Mayweather battered the mother of his children and a host of others indiscriminately while being trained in the deadly sport of boxing. It is inexcusable yet there are socalled men like Pimp C who will attempt to justify such barbarity.

However if we dig deeper and strip away the onion to uncover it’s layers we see a boxer mired in corruption, drug scandals and the promotional philosophy of win by all and any means necessary. The fans are equally to blame as they lap it all up as they don their white TBE caps as if they are exclusive members of the very same team

Today we see many young aspiring boxers trying to emulate such a formula - for now it is seen to be forbidden to lose just one match alone. Fighters are more than willing to paddle their records in an array of mismatches against indistinguishable laymen and label them as competitive while an obliging public justify these acts as a necessary evil and instead lay their frustrations towards managers and promoters as if the fighters themselves are mere puppets.

We have many young fighters trying their utmost to become another mayweather for they will brashly showcase their jewellery and expensive cars on their social feeds while throwing their ill gotten gains around the back lit dens of strip clubs for they know their names may be placed amongst legendary fighters such Rocky Marciano, without ever actually having to accomplishing half of what he actually did.

For what they fail to realise, is that a man like Rocky never ever fought for the glory in and of itself, but through honour and pride alone. The great Marciano who during such a rough era had no choice but to fight the best of the best. To even mention his name in the same sentence as a side show gluttonous rapper, is nothing short of a disgrace and brings great shame to the sport. Sadly we find in many boxing circles, those who commit such a lamentable comparison. They forget that during the Pretty boy Floyd era this is a man who became a politician and made friends with powerful people within the boxing fraternity, who were to become greater influential chess masters within the sport as a result. This is explains why he was able to preserve such a record.

We look over questionable wins over men like José Luis Castillo who proved superior in their first fight yet was not given the decision. Then there was the Oscar fight which could have gone either way. It also explains how he was exempt from stringent drug testing disciplinary hearings after being caught with IV needles. Not to mention was able to get away with a series of running's with the law for many years which included unbridled battery at will.

We analysis the defiant video of Floyd, who in a fit of rage, brazenly declared himself a rich coward who was not interested in developing a limp after fighting Paccquio in his prime. What we see is a man afraid, wary and more interested in preserving his health then any legacy. Yet these words are the very reason why we are witnessing the worst era of boxing across all divisions.

We have young boxers like Adrian Broner, who instead of refining their own talent have become more interested in being a replica of a money launderer and self-proclaimed rich coward. It is our duty to ensure that the talented boxers of this generation do not fall down a similar path. We have to marginalise the barbarians and refuse to pay the costs for clown shows. For the price will be dear lest we not take back our sport and make it the great spectacle that it should be.

Because without question there will be more and more children being bred to parents who look up to the likes of Mayweather. The very same children who instead of growing up in a healthy environment who are governed by diligent parenting , watching cartoons and playing with toys, are now having it wasted by having to listen to their parents quarrelling over gets the last pieces of chicken left in the pot while they sit in a corner alone and unattended.

Undoubtedly there will also be more young Adrian broners being bred inside of boxing if we continue to place men like Mayweather on insurmountable pedestals and for them to continue to be the face of boxing. Add to that that he never beat what you said at their optimal weight.

Then his 20 years of being undefeated is a farce due to him not fighting for like 3-4 years of that duration AND CLEARLY losing against JLC the first time around, so it's more like six years undefeated. Buy hey ho..

Floyd's skills are undeniable, but his achievements are very questionable.

I also agree with the article that he has ruined Boxing. The man has milked it dry and now wants an MMA'er to compete under BOXING RULES, yet there's still a host of killers in Boxing that he could face instead.

I suspect that OP is a recovering ******* with an agenda. That said, there is some truth in there. Floyd has killed the goose. It will take years for boxing to recover it's appeal to casuals after his sparring match that was promoted as a monumental battle of supreme relevance to the sport. Pretty Boy was quite something.
