You didn't really believe Haye thought he was going to stop Wlad that way right?! If you looked at Wlad losses it was always an onslaught what eventually did him in. That single blow from Haye didn't do even remotely enough damage to bring Wlad in serious trouble. Just think about how Haye is during his fights against the 2 top guys he fought thus far at HW. before the SNV fight everyone was in agreement that Haye needed to win big to get away with the win in Germany. He didn't, and who actually believed he would be declared the winner on the scorecards afterwards? Haye doesn't really try to beat his opponent, he fights scared and he doesn't have the Herbie Hide (who I compare him with) like one punch at HW to end it anyway.
I'm saying there was a chance, if you notice Wlad became really defensive and started holding on after that punch, means he was in slight trouble. My point is that if Haye just went in super offensively against Wlad, he wouldn't have seen the 2nd round. So he pretty much had to fight the way he did and hope for that single lucky punch.
Nah. Haye caught him with a decent punch in the 12th but Wlad tied him up then went on the offense for the rest of the round. The days of Wlad being blown out in 2 rounds are over. His grappling skills are some of the best we've ever seen, to the point that they have become almost an offensive weapon.
DID you see the pic of his toe? That was a stage 10 fracture, the heart he showed to get into the ring with that injury was beyond belief.
Mate Ive had a broken toe its worse than the broken arm I had. I was in a wheelchair for 4 months till it healed. Once Haye beats Quitali, hell rematch Wlad and then well see how big a difference a fully working toe makes.
I can't believe anyone is naive enough to GENUINELY believe the toe defense. OP, just watch the fight. It's so bloody obviously that his feet were 100%, he even lifted himself up on his toes a few times. (An odd move for a boxer, but something that Haye actually does.) Not to mention, a simple pre-fight injection would had removed all pain anyway. Puh-leeez, already. Princess Haye is just a whiney little girl. Worse than Andre Dirrell.
baby toe is a none issue other than a little pain but haye let us know he used a local anesthetic for pain..if it was his big toe it would have restricted movement..baby toe however dosnt do **** all but hurt a little..you dont use it for anything..not balance or pushing off.. im a semi pro goalkeeper and when i break my toes they get strapped to the one beside it with a local jab depending on the pain im going through..when i break my big toe i do have some trouble...haye couldnt engage because he was focusing on defence far to much..if his toe was anoying him it would hinder him as much in defence as much as offence.
why do people not remember the fact wlad smacked haye around for the rest of the round after that so called big hit??haye was actually the one stunned after a short right and he retreted into the corner doing his midair swimming
