Kimbo is recieving a lot of **** after his fight with Thompson, but I will say that it is onnly his 4th pro fight, and he is still green and as he said, he got a lot of learning to do. However I do feel that the slack he is getting is a result of the massive hype that sorrunded him. I mean his promoter even said he would knock Wladimir Klitschko out, and Slice couldnt even ko a super glass jawed (yet very game) Colossis Thompson, despite hitting him with almost everything he threw. Slice was extreamly tired after the 2nd round, and almost dead after the 3rd. His hands dropped and his punches had NO steam towards the end of the 2nd round. He would be a sacrifical lamb to someone like Klitschko, and would be KO'd visciously. Lets hope the hype train stops here, and he is seen for what he actually is: a very tough yet very green fighter who has a lot of work to do
32-42-46-99 it dont matter if hes 21 he stinks and doesnt deserve to be in main event fights. That fight agianst Thompson reminded me of the Sean Gannon fight where everytime Gannon hurt Kimbo his posse jumped in to save him for like 3 minutes. Now this being legal they just let him have a huge ass beard,stand up the fight when he has somebody on top in side control,let him continue being pounded on for 2 minutes straight when any other orginaztions ref would stop it.
I've never wanted anyone to get laid out more in my life than Kimbo Slice. I don't care that he sounds like a nice fella in interviews or has only three fights. He's been pushed as the face of MMA on network TV, but he's nothing more than a glorified, street-fighting bum who got completely exposed by an absoutely terrible James Thompson (who at least is one cool dude). Brett Rogers only has six fights, but at least he gets live opponents. That guy Rogers knocked out would tool Kimbo. There are probably 100 fighters with less than 5 fights that would slaughter Senor Slice. And **** Gary Shaw. Gary makes Dana look like Mother Theresa, reborn.

I think what gets most people pissed is that as we are trying to get MMA recognized as a legitimate sport, we have Shaw pulling off the **** he is with Slice. It hurts the sport and makes it look like the WWE where everything is scripted.
Isnt that a contradiction in terms? You knew he was a street fighting bum and yet his been exposed?! Kimbo has not been exposed and never will be. His a guy with no pro fighting experience who`s cashing in his chips courtesy of Gary Shaw and EliteXC. Your beef is with Shaw.
Why do people keep bringing up how Rogers did vs. Thompson? Thompson was bullying him all around the cage until Rogers hit him with a quick combo. I don't believe Kimbo hits as hard as Rogers. Kimbo is by no means on the verge of becoming the a top fighter in the sport. Kimbo is getting attention because people find him interesting, and interesting sells. In fairness, main events should go to the best. Life is not always fair. Main events are always going to the biggest sale. Kimbo was in only his 3rd pro bout, and was able to hang with a bigger man with 22 fights. Best MMA fighter in the world might still be a far stretch. His reaching the level of a peak Abbott, or being as good Gary Goodridge, is not out of the realm of possibility.
**** it kimbo used to be homeless now hes got a ton of money from the internet and mma he is the only reason i started watching mma. u guys r just jealous bet u couldnt even last 2 min with the big gorilla
i think thompson actually having a good training team in xtreme couture helped him x1000 atleast they could teach him how to tuck his chin and take some punches lol plus i dont see why everyone is hatin on kimbo, we all knew he wasnt goin to be technical, plus if you listen to him in interviews he's really respectful and gives off a well mannered image (other than all the tattoos and big ass beard), he cant help it if his promoter and corner crew are all D-bags. and if he really isnt that good and all this stuff ur sayin then why dont you just quit talking about him and focus on the people who SHOULD be getting are attention like jacare, fedor, miguel torres, jens pulver, urijah faber, etc
