    Round 12

The two embrace. Then it is WAR. :fire

Antillon stalks, and drops bombs. Soto starts off trying to counter but is no longer able to get set in time, with Antillon plowing along fast and hard. Soto resorts to clinching. The two get back into chasing mode and exchange some vicious shots. Antillon is still trying to smash a hole through Soto's body. Soto is flashing his hands quickly, stringing together several jabs and rights to the sponge-like face of Antillon.

    FOTM, at least.

    117 - 110 Soto

    Antillon 6, 11, 12

    -1 for low blow.

    Soto took the rest.

I had it 116-111, but a clear Soto win either way. It's up there with the other FOTY candidates at least. I might need to rewatch Estrada-Rivero and Escalante-Roman, but this was a more important fight than the former and more competitive than the latter. Deffo better than Marquez-Katsidis, IMO.

I like how two or three threads have popped up in the middle of these fights about these fights, WHILE IB'S ****ING RBR THREAD IS STILL GOING. What the funk?

    :good

    This was a great fight.

Buffer: This was one hell of a lightweight championship fight

Unanimous decision for Soto. Tough fight, but win well deserved.

Wow. To think that would have been a draw without the deduction!

****, Soto has Rios next. Two fights in a row for him with the same styles, though I think Rios has a higher ring IQ than Antillon. What's everybody's pick on Soto vs Rios?

2 judges had it 6 rounds a piece?

that -1 for the low blow was harsh, if that didnt take place it would have been a Majority draw.

Soto won that fight comfortably though.
