Sidorenko comes forward despite recent events. Donaire seems to be marking his face up slightly with his pesky jab. Sidorenko tries to trap him on the ropes and tee off but Donaire eludes and slides out. Donaire lands a little check hook above the ear as Sidorenko tries to spear his way inside. Sidorenko keeps a tight guard and whips out a quick right hand that catches Donaire on the chin and gets a reaction out of the crowd, but Nonito doesn't seem very affected. Wladimir follows without punching. Donaire jabs off every backward step. Big 1-2 by Donaire and Sidorenko is hurt again.

Donaire casts out his fishing-rod jab and drops a right to the body when he gets a bite (Sidorenko bringing his arms up). Sidorenko tries to nonchalantly creep inside and then explode with combos but Donaire is too quick and evasive, and keeps getting into position to pick Sidorenko off comfortably with mostly jabs. Sidorenko does land a perfect right hand as Donaire is backing straight up and robs him of his equilibrium for a split second, but Donaire recovers immediately and gets back to controlling distance with his jab. BIG KNOCKDOWN FROM A DONAIRE CHECK HOOK! Sidorenko is up at eight. There is almost a full minute left. Donaire is patient, jabbing, and blocks a big Sidorenko hook with the back of his right glove. Sidorenko tries to nail Donaire with 1-2 but it's dodged.
