I won't argue with that statement. It will more of a case of looking how both guys careers panned out. How in some ways tyson would have been easier to beat than Lewis over the long haul. I'm not talking mcbride or William S but how tyson deteriorated and Lewis to a degree improved. In short tyson s loss was the biggest shock but there was more chance of him losing to some one than Lewis.

Perhaps it's just way I'm looking at it, from another angle . But I'm in agreement that tyson s upset rocked the world

I think Lewis was the easier fighter to catch on an off night. Both McCall and Rahman managed to. They beat Lewis without putting in outstanding performances. Just had to land one big punch each.

Douglas put in an ATG performance over ten rds and he still had to climb off the canvas to win.

Certainly when it came to the guys causing the upset, Douglas did the much harder work. Back in early 90 tyson was still young still undefeated and that fearsome reputation. Lewis didn't have that ill admit. So for buster to step in to the ring and actually do what he did. He was confident in himself and nothing was going to stop him in there. A great performance.
