you're right kirk but trilogies that stick with people are the ones that are close up to the rubber match.
You could make that case. But remember, he did not beat the same Pac that we saw later. Pac's improvement since then has been dramatic. He has made quantum leaps with almost every fight between Diaz and Cotto. So yes, a vey good win for Morales. But it needs to be kept in perspective.
No. And for the reasons I just mentioned regarding Morales. Times Three ! (Unless your username happens to be Nallege. :yep )
Nah, give him his full credit. Morales is a true ATG, as are JMM and MAB. Erik earned that victory the hard way, the VERY hard way, and we shouldn't be looking to diminish it.
:deal Past primer morales taking on a Rising lion... Beuatiful way to put what actually happened that night.
In no way am I diminishing EM. He was a little beast who exemplified heart and skill in the ring. A legend ! And I did say it was a very good win. But realistically, it wasn't the same Pac.
I think that's exaggerated a little bit. When I look at my fight DVD's and rewatch those fights, I don't see any big changes in Pac's game. He always had great footwork. Maybe he throws that right hook a little bit more. You can't even get in the ring with those guys if you're not a finished product, Manny has been about this good from Ledwaba on.
the only thing that really changed was Freddie roaches great coaching him and advising him on the game plan and to stick with it... freddie roach tells him how to beat these guys and pac just follow the game plan.
Pac after DLH/Hatton with his right hand fully functioning is a whole different monster from the morales battle. Thats why I made this thread.
