    I honest read a quote from him that said 'I am primarily irish with a Jewish strain from my father and Native American blood on my mothers side'

    Sheet of course. Lets put him at 3 shall we? He fought some big names but pretty much lost all of them. Still, very accomplished for a New Zealand fighter.

    Have you seen Joseph Parker fight Janitor? I know this is off topic but what are your thoughts on him? I think he'll be a top contender in the next two years and he's only 22

    This is true, I just echo my partner's thoughts on the matter she considers Northern Ireland to be a British satellite, and I am happy not to make waves:oops:

    The quote about Dempsey being Irish in Dynamite Gloves was lifted from the Dempsey (auto)biography, "Massacre in the sun".

    "I am basically Irish, with Cherokee blood from both parents, plus a Jewish strain from my father's great-grandmother".

    Yes, I think John L. Sullivan was his idol as he was for may of the day.....Dempsey was black Irish, an expression for dark hair and eyes, some Roman or Iberian strain and a little Sephardi Jewish and American Indian blood made for a rarely formed tough and mean Celt but he liked a rumble
