Floyd was a beast at 130 lbs, but he is way past his prime now. He will still school Pacquiao though :yep

He is going to have to fight out of his comfort zone. He will not win this fight pot shotting or trying to counter punch with one shot sequences off of the ropes. Manny will force him to fight or Floyd will just wilt.

Floyd has to do what Marquez did and make Pac pay for his mistakes when he over commits. Mayweather has the right hand to punish Pac for his over exuberance, if he can make Pac hesitate and fall for feints like Marquez did he'll win on points or even stop him late. So Mayweather needs to get Pac's respect early to prevent Pac overwhelming him.

Mayweather will have to be at his best though, Pac with his southpaw left, speed and work rate could pressure Mayweather like he has never before. Mayweather needs to adapt, his usual shoulder roll tactics won't be as effective against Pac's style, he'll need to alter to the high guard to avoid the left hand, he needs to clinch to prevent Pac throwing in combination as Pac is a deadly combination puncher.

Mayweather is the clear favourite for me, he has the skills to win but I don't expect a one sided fight, Pac will go out on his shield if he has to and push Mayweather as hard as he can.

if Floyd makes it 12 he wins automatically. That is the sad state of this matchup.

I agree with you that Floyd will have to fight out of his comfort zone if he wants to win. Luckily, Floyd is a master at adapting, so it shouldn't be a problem :deal

Marquez is a better and more fluid counter puncher than Mayweather is these days plus he isn't afraid to get hit back in exchanges.

True which is why Mayweather has to get Pac's respect early to prevent Pac doing what he does so well and overwhelm his opponents with his bemusing combination or speed, power and work rate.

I think the first half will be key to the fight. I expects Pac to win the early rounds as Mayweather tries and figures him out and gets used to Pac's speed. But the middle rounds is where the fight could be won or lost. This is where either Mayweather will adapt and make Pac hestitate and flinch giving him time to breath and outbox Pac or Pac will hit his stride and force Mayweather to go into survival mode.

He can't fight like he did @ 130 and hasn't done so ever since he moved up for logical reasons. Pacquiao can't fight like he did at the lower weights either.
