Why is it that when Pavlik is mentioned fighting Winky everyone is like oh, oh, oh, Winky would outclass him with his shot-proof defense, and his increasing punch output and conquer the slow 1-2 punching ogor. The reason Winky has upped his workrate is because his mobility has diminished. Perfect for Pavlik to pound if you ask me. Then when I hear Hopkins vs Pavlik, it's Pavlik will K.O. Hopkins, and Pavlik is a quick agile giant with George Foreman like strength who's slicker than two snails in a barrel of snot, and he'll turn Hopkins into Ground round, blah, blah, blah, Hopkins has no stamina, blah blah. News flash! Hopkins was paramount in every aspect that Winky was supposed to have the edge in. Also, can we please stop with the Pavlik is the savior of boxing and that's why he should win b.s. :hi: Pavlik huggers!:hi:
Very few people believe Winky can beat Pavlik. KP could no doubt learn some things by fighting Winky, but Kelly wins this one by a wide UD or late stoppage, and that is how most fans see it. Doubt me? Put up a poll.
I would put Pavlik in a heavily favored position against Winky. Winky was a p4p fighter, but he feasted on smaller fighters with his turtle shell defense, wouldn't work against Pavlik. Didn't work against Taylor.
