In Praise of Canelo's Performance

I agreed that he is going to be around for a while, fighting undersized boxers and cab drivers, the kid is not that good and if you call him smart for trying to box Fraud then my friend you are a fanatic.

 

Had he tried to pressure (which is never really his game), and had he tried not to use the jab, Canelo would have gotten mutilated.

I mean, I get that people hate Floyd, but the fact is that Canelo fought a decent fight; and the fact that it wasn't very close is more indicative of how good Floyd remains, rather than any real deficiencies on the part of Alvarez.

 

I agree! Canelo tried his hardest. didnt get supergassed like everybody thought he did and kept swinging. Canelo is here to stay.

Get real, Canelo's time is limited at 154 and non existence at 160. Trout really exposed him even though he lost. I didn't witness any signs of a potentiality great fighter or a true champion. The Mayweather fight just confirmed it. He can bounce around 154 for a minute and beat guys like Mollina , Ishe, and Bundrage but I wouldn't favor him over Lara and if he lingers too long, them Charlo twins is on their way. They are the same age as
Canelo and when they arrive, they are gonna be wrecking ****.
