In real terms Amir is paying McCloskey out of his own pocket but he’s okay with that

then team khan would be more than right to cut his purse

McCloskey did more than he should have in terms of promoting the fight

while team khan and hatton promotions ****ed up the card

why should mccloskey take a pay cut cause khans kowboys ****ed up...

If he didn't take a pay-cut, the fight wouldn't go ahead. Amir would be getting less than McCloskey. As a matter of fact, he'd be getting next to nothing.

To be honest though, I'm just a fan, I can only assume who's getting what and how things are being distributed so it's pointless babbling on about it.

The main thing is, the fight is on and hopefully it'll be on Sky.

maybe he wouldnt have to take such a massive pay cut if his fans (like you) would pay to go and see him....

me and 4 other mates are going over from Ireland to see McCloskey..:deal

I have no doubt you're going to cheer for McCloskey but would you still be going if he wasn't fighting Khan??

 Sorry mate, I would love to have gone if I had the chance!

Well, I'm actually quite glad I didn't now. The card isn't good and I feel the fight won't be a long one, but have a good time :good

    Is this Lazarus for real?

I completely agree with those stating McCloskey shouldn't have to take a pay cut, it's not his promotion so his job is to turn up, fight and collect his cheque. Any issues with TV or the like is under Khan Promotion's remit and shouldn't effect McCloskey in the slightest.

Team Khan has nobody to blame but themselves on this one, if they hadn't penny pinched on an opponent and undercard then they would still be on box office making more than the £250k reported.

    Shambles.

Team Khan what a bunch of cowboys. If Amir had any sense he would get a new team about him and not the joke of a team he has sorting out his fights. They know **** all and are trying to do everything on the cheap. Well most promotors out there would tell you that you will take a hit on most of the fights and this is just what is happening now with Khan well **** him hes going to have to take the hit on this. If he pulls out so long to ever working with Sky again.

what a fiasco this whole situation is, its quite funny sitting back watching team khan potentially lose money or at least not make the money they thought against a mediocare opponent at the expense of boxing fans and asians in england, they are a bunch of penny pinching amateur cowboys, i noticed this fight how amir has been talking like a promoter since negotiations with peterson started and i wonder how much this has taken from his preparation, is his head fully in the game i doubt it, is mccloskey good enough to beat a below par khan....i doubt that too

Isn't convenient how the cokehead Hatton & his promotion team get a pass, afterall it was there resonsibility to build the undercard. Predictably Ricky gets a pass 'cause he's one of the lads!
