The months before the fight, I stated over and over that Ortiz wasn't MENTALLY ready to handle Floyd Mayweather Jr's defense. Based on him quitting in the past it would have been too frustrating for him to handle at this stage of his career.

The bull**** headbutt proved that. I feel sorry for Ortiz in regards that his promoter GBP should have been looking out for his career in not just the SHORT TERM, but long term as well. He got a payday, but after all his expenses and taxes I doubt he'll clear a $1 million dollars. On top of that the way he acted he certainly didn't create a fan base. He was USED by GBP as a sacrificial lamb to the Immaculated Pretty One. I think as the weeks pass he'll realize this more and more. If he was pissed at his dad, he should be pissed at DeLa Hoya for pitting him against a fighter way over his head.

As far as for Floyd Jr's fans. I feel sorry for them and I don't. Mayweather was starting to control the fight. I thought he was winning all 4 rounds. A little showcase of his skills. Skills that I've always respected. But in a moment of mental weakness on his part, he decided to act on his BASE impulses and hit a man that at best was being apologetic for his stupidness at worst a stupid naive kid with his hands DOWN. If the fight had gone the distance or Mayweather KO'd Ortiz in a different fashion, I would have congratulated him and his fans on a deserved win. Instead like I said he took the LOW ROAD and ROBBED his fans of him putting on a BOXING CLINIC. You know their favorite mantra "hit and don't get hit".

Now we as fans are left with this ****...:nono

Who do you feel more sorry for???:think

I actually agree with you about Floyd robbing us a little, but I don't blame Floyd that much and would expect a lot of ppl to do the same. And rob is the wrong word to use

Feel sorry for ortiz. He is a good kid. That **** didnt deserve to happen to him.
Don't blame anyone just wish the fight would have went on. Both were doing great.
Impressed with Floyd more because I expected Ortiz to give it his all.

I feel sorry for boxing. A ppv event giving Morales a title when he didn't deserve it and Floyd earning who knows how many million in 4 rounds fighting an average fighter. I like Victor as a person since he looks like a good guy, but he was not in Floyd's class and we all knew it. That is why Floyd handpicked him.

Feel sorry for fans in general. We were robbed of what was shaping up to be a great fight. I should be clear that I don't blame one person in particular, pretty much everyone f'ed up.

This is nothing new with Golden Boy, he feeds good fighters to guys who will ruin them or finds the one guy on earth who can beat them.

For his first fighter Barrera, he pulls out a nobody from the philipines in a "safe" fight, he feeds Katsidis to deadly champion after deadly champion when the guy could be winning against top 15 guys and having a chance to make some money off his name instead of accruing loss after loss, and then he wants "rematches" of fights that were brutal death matches.

He feeds his fighters to the wolves consistently, what a *****. The potential match ups for JMM were like Canelo et al, what a terrible man oscar is. Thank god he promoted Pac-De La Hoya to continue that trend.

boxing fans who watched the months of hype, all the 24/7 eps, paid good money to see some good fights spoiled by a main event that was ruined by a headbutt and a sucker punch.

I used rob, because to watch the fight somebody had to pay for it. For you bball, I'll say Money DEPRIVED his fans of something they could truly be proud of. He knew he was going to finish the fight with a win, why chose to end it that way Mayweather only knows. :smoke
