In retrospect I dont think DE LA HOYA was weight drained vs PACMAN....here is why?

Pacman looked even better against fresher foes HAtton, Cotto, CLottey and MArg.....Oscar didnt really look any worse than those top fighters.

Also I remember how badly Oscar struggled against a faded Sweet Pea, who is a short non aggressive southpaw....he couldnt deal with a southpaw, so how was he going to deal with an aggresive better offensive fighter like Pacman....even in his prime I think Oscar gets dominated, also remember Pacman didnt even get out of 2nd gear he was fighting within himself, Pac could have stepped it up earlier i think he was cautious about the new weight.

Oscar just looked really ill to me. Not taking anything away from Pac as he put on a great performance, but Oscar didn't look right at all.

Oscar was a walking zombie on fight night even Roach admitted that he saw the iv marks on Oscar's arms in the ring before the fight started. What more proof do you need? Oscar's past struggles with southpaws has no bearing on him being weight drained.

If someone is genuinely weight drained he puts on excess weight between the weigh in and the fight.

I think being a southpaw had everything to do with ODLH's head being used as a tomato can. Has he ever looked that shitty against an orthodox fighter?

Who's fault was that? Give credit where credit is due.

if floyd fought the same 147 Oscar, he probably would have still won by decision.

Not neccessarily. Oscar was dead at the weight he was so sickly that he couldn't even put on water weight that's why he was forced to use an iv.

:rofl:rofl Your theory is moot given that Oscar had IV marks on his arms...Sorry, but I'll actually form my opinion around the people's remarks that was actually there.:good

I give props Pac for coming up to face Oscar and even cheered for him that night. But anyone who's followed Oscar's career knows that wasn't the real Oscar on fight night and if you say it was it's not being honest with yourself. Pac beat a weight drained Oscar that night and and a guy who never fought again after that night.

Did Oscar struggle with southpaws yes but to say he wasn't drained is ridiculous.

Oscar made 147 weeks before the fight. And when does anything Freddie Roach says becomes fact? IVs on Oscar? Has anyone besides Freddie said this? More than anything I think Oscar was just old and finished. You could see the decline when he fought Steve Forbes. And if it really was weight drain, those effects did not show up until the middle of the 5th round when Oscar became gun shy. Pac won the first 4 rounds with ease even with Oscar throwing many punches.

BS, all the haters the same night put it down to weight and said Pac gets beat by any top 10 WW. Now Pac has proven he dominates any top 5 WW you guys got no leg to stand on.

Pac was gonna dominate Oscar the way he did whether he turned up at 160lbs or not.

  15. I'm no hater.

Oscar was drained AS ****. :deal
