Oscar only had to lose 3 lbs from the 150 he weighed in at for the Forbes fight. If Oscar came in at 145 it was of his choosing, maybe he wanted to be carrying less weight to be lighter on his feet and faster having to deal with Pacman's speed.

If it didn't work out like he wanted in the ring it's his fault and it's still a bad loss that counts against his legacy, especially as he was a huge favorite. Why should Pac be punished if Nacho and Oscar got it wrong, and for himself having a perfect preparation with Roach?

This is what I mean. You diminish Pac's win over Oscar, you can pretty much diminish many great wins where a losing fighter is not seen to have been at their optimal best. Jones' best win over Toney, and Mayweather's biggest wins over Hatton and Mosley, all of Hopkins' greatest wins..these are the best 3 fighters with Pac over the last 20 years.

    kinda my point.

but also...any opportunity to rag on rjj.

but if anyone says that odlh's weight on fight night was "not his fault" *cough*eze*cough* then they are talking bollocks.

tbh picking holes in pac's wins is a ***** move. he will go down as an atg no matter what any biased ****er on the internet says.

What you fail to realize is that the Toney that fought RJJ was a much better and still prime fighter more so than the Oscar that Pac fought and that can't be denied.:deal He was a top ranked P4P fighter whereas Oscar was no where to be found on the list another point that can't be argued. If you're honestly trying to argue that the Toney that Jones fought was worse than the Oscar that Pac fought you're fooling yourself or taking us all for fools.

It looks like DLH was in the 150s before he tried to make weight, but never was able to put it on back.

Sure we blame DLH. But it's not like they expected it to happen, after all he's done this how many times?

Anyway, DLH weighed less than Pac in the ring, and moved like it.

What is so hard to understand?

Toney is just a fat piece of ****, and a steroid cheat x2

Yes I think Nacho is ****ing lying, he isnt working with Oscar anymore he isnt making no more money cus Oscar retired from the sport. So in a sense yes I think so.
Plus Mayweather Sr also went on to say that Nacho had Oscar come down low in weight very early in camp rather than comming down slowly through out camp.
I will always take the word of Roach over Nachos any day of the week, why would roach who trains manny say or admit DLH was weight drained? (Answer that like a ****ing man)
Anybody who has had to make weight before knows DLH was drained in that fight, when was the last time he made 147? :huh

thats my point, Oscar has not been down there in a long time. and at this age its very hard to do that and have any chance of pulling off a win with a fighter as well rounded as Manny.

Honestly I am pulling for Mayweather to whip that ass, but Manny fears blood testing and has moved over to another network being that its clear Floyd and Roger are in route to getting their legal issues resolved....

all that "I will take test in between rounds" They will hold him to that, so rather than being a man of his word Manny rushes over to showtime..... :think

it would be bitter sweet to see the two fight, Floyd would pick his ass apart.

    "more prime"?

    **** off with that bollocks.

toney was ****ed to **** that night. he could barely fight. but it's a great win looking back...isn't it?

p4p rankings are bollocks too...what had toney done to be ranked p4p when eubank & benn weren't? **** all. those rankings were spectacularly us biased at the time & frankly mean **** all anyway.

I think some people are misunderstanding whats being discussed...In no way shape or form and I trying to discredit Pac's win but I cant be sucked into the moment and think it was against a prime Oscar...like I've said...This is a good win for Pac given that he had to come up several weight classes and fight and beat a bigger man. We also cant overlook how Oscar looked like a walking corpse that night...No Manny fault that Oscar didnt hydrate properly.

I saw some of the posts on this thread some "experts" and some great uncited quotes but I have never heard Oscar's take

Now he was never the type to make excuses and I only remeber one fight when he made excuses

so even if he was drained he wouldnt be the kind of guy to make a stink about it

that said nobody in his camp said so, now that can be out of respect or job credibility

if Nacho and his team drained their fighter doesnt that make them look bad, losing to a vastly smaller Manny who wasnt as proven at this point is already bad enough this could have been damage control

most of my post is speculation of course but did he really look 100 percent

did he even look 100 percent vs Floyd?

he was either affected by the weight or age

personally making 145 wasnt the problem in my opinion

i think not putting the weight back on was

maybe he had no trouble making 145 but its customary for boxers especially Oscar to gain like 10 pounds add on the weight he wasnt used to

i rooted for Manny in that fight cause I disliked Oscars cockyness and how he pulled together this allstar team but i think he wasnt 100 percent

of course Manny still had to perform and fight a tremendous fight
