Yeah Jones was also very green in that fight, when he admitted Hopkins was green he said that of himself too. if I remember correctly Hopkins actually had one more fight than Jones.

That wasn't a prime Hill, but it was still a good Hill, crushed with one body shot which was the knockout of the year for ring magazine. Hill was able to move up to CW after the fact and win a belt.

Jones moved up in weight to fight Toney and dominated him, you are gonna listen to Toney's trash talk to the extent of discrediting Roy's victory? Toney was embarrassed after that fight, and well known for **** talking, Toney looked more outmatched and dumbfounded to me than weight drained. I don't see how moving up to fight Toney was not a challenge or a risk, Roy was a clear underdog. Toney was also knocking out fighters left and right at that time, and was in the top 3 p4p on any credible list.

^ I hear you but the fact remains he did really fold up in his biggest challange,he didnt look impressive in the fights that he got Ko'd in period Hopkins improved dramatically after that fight Roy really didnt he was who he was,and you have to factor in Roys vast amatuer career which was a huge advantage for him over Hopkins who virtually had no amatuer experiance.A very athletic fighter and thats what he hung his hat on,not technical skills, thats the reason he is very meodicore as a older fighter, and he never needs to wear gloves again, unless he's building a snowman.Him not being a good fighter when he aged is pretty big at pointing how he compares to histories best, with a weak resame and his dramatic loses to guys that wasnt superfight guys makes him extremely overrated.

Like when Ruiz hit Roy with big Right hand, or the Montel Griffen fight? or When he beat Bernard Hopkins with 1 hand, or how about the time he dropped down from HW to LHW and gutted out a win over Tarver. The man has beaten nearly 20 world champs and has won 24 world title bouts, you are a hater that knows nothing about boxing.

I didnt know Ruiz had a big righthand i guess its because hes the only fighter i know that fought fights without fighting and he's the most boring fighter in the history of boxing or him getting ****ing steamroled by David Tua.:D

    That's a horrific post.

People talk about the up-bringing that a Tyson or a Lison had, but Roy's was just as intense, all be it in a different way.

He was born into adversity. After that it was just a case of being so much better than the rest...

Of course, if you mean just in the ring you're still flat out wrong.

He has a sneaky right hand that he put Holyfield down with, he also stopped Oquendo with it, he landed flush on Roy and Roy took it like a man.

    Wrong again...

Hopkins was 95-4 as an amateur...

Hell Toney was only 31-2 as an amateur.

Roy was something like 112-13 as an amateur, (i am not sure on Roy's exact)
